Tier ones would have worked with Lebby if he had gotten a working pic. They don’t care where it comes from as long as it works. The idea of that he would’ve been cutting into their profits is probably wrong for the majority of the transceiver companies because they add the transceiver portion to the already existing pic.

But the complexity was too great for little lightwave and so they will find companies to take their polymer modulator and incorporate them into a pic that the transceiver companies will then take a look at.

In other words, it appears Lightwave lost 1-2 years trying to make a 4x200 PIC themselves. As I said yesterday that is a big hit.

While we may get some announcements, the work itself will take quite some time as these companies have to get up to speed with working with these polymers

These go-between companies very well could be small photonics oriented, researchers. Or they could be larger companies with vast experience. We will find out. Nevertheless none of them are skilled at working with polymer modulators so I wonder how that plays into it. Surely it is a major factor.

KCC - do you agree?

The fact that nothing has been announced already along these lines does not suggest that any of these companies are chomping at the bit, as surely YVES has been talking to them at least casually for months now

That’s my take so far but I do need to review what happened yesterday. The max capacity kept me out and I’ve just been reading what people have summarized.

MrStock, Exactly 💯 you are spot on!! LWLG Polymers ALONE are worth MINIMUM of $1 - $2 Billion valuation TODAY!!! They are the ENABLING KEY to Industry needs for Generative AI Astronomical Data networks will be processing!!! LWLG holds the KEY to both front end transmissions and back end computing solutions!!!

Yves has an incredible track record in the industry for deal making and with the seismic shift in the BUSINESS STRATEGY as I have been telling you all along, the deals will be coming quickly and Lebby will be vindicated as LWLG polymers become ubiquitous in their use over the next 3 to 5 years!!!

Mr Stock Pick I can see your points on the nature of the impasse in negotiations. We don't know the details of what Michael Lebby did or didn't do that contributed to that impasse. Out of respect for him and what he did in leading the company to the point that commercializing polymers is possible, the Board won't tell us the details out of respect for him. The bottom line was the impasse existed and needed to be dealt with.

I would add that I believe Michael Lebby, lacking a long history of deal making, interpreted incorrectly interest and progress in negotiations from Tier 1s as being on the cusp of deals. It takes experience to know what roadblocks still exist as things can get stalled at that point as the other side really wants to kick the can down the road. After all, your Tier 1 target still has current technology to work through and other options to choose from to justify a pause. It takes a good negotiator to know who really wants to deal and who may be just fishing for information or trying to kick the can down the road to their internal timeline. It doesn't make Lebby a liar if he believed they were on the cusp of some deals so it is more likely his inexperience in dealing. Bringing an experienced deal maker to close deals does make perfect sense.

Do you really believe what you just wrote in how the Tier ones are salivating for your solution?
I must have dialed a different call, this kind of delusion is how they wrote sunset boulevard and you are ready for your close up with Mr Demille. You’re lucky to have a meeting and get in the door with a tier one company, you make it sound like they’re breaking down the door. Remember what Mark L said, they want to make existing solutions go as long as possible before they have to tear it up and try something new. The incumbent is hard to displace. I learned this the hard way.
