Bizarre fatal high speed Tesla crash in China sparks police probe - Professional Driver

In the video that has been posted to YouTube and other social media, a Model Y can be seen pulling onto a two-lane road in an urban area of Chaozhou and accelerating through traffic to tremendous speed as it passes by several cameras.

It strikes a bicyclist and several motorized vehicles along the way before it skids off the road and crashes about a half-minute later.

Two people were reported dead and three injured, according to Reuters.

This professional driver was trying to bring his Model Y to a stop to park when it suddenly accelerated and drove for several kilometers until it finally crashed. It appears that Mr. Zhan was able to maintain control of steering but not acceleration/braking despite claiming he braked and applied the ebrake with Tesla China confirming the latter.

In an interview, the driver of this Tesla claims the brakes would not respond and that he tried to use the emergency brake while speeding out of control.

In an interview with local news outlet Dahe Daily, the 55-year-old driver, Zhan, who said he was a former truck driver, said he tried pressing the brake pedal and the emergency parking brake button, but with no effect

This picture clearly shows brake lights on. I wonder if this was one of the times Mr Zhan tried to engage the ebrake?

Tesla China released the following information confirming that Mr. Zhan did indeed apply the emergency brake but data doesnt show he applied the brake. Take note that ebrake application also failed to slow this Tesla down.

Tesla China denied the family member’s claims, noting that data from the ill-fated Model Y showed that the accelerator pedal was depressed deeply during the incident. Tesla stated that the Park button was indeed pressed during the vehicle’s final drive four times, but only briefly. Previous tests from Tesla owners indicated that pressing Park for an extended period of time while the vehicle is in motion would stop the car

Significant accelerator pressure coupled with no or very brief indication of braking, despite driver claiming they applied the brakes, is a known EM induced glitch in EVs based on the study posted below.

Im collating accidents where Teslas behaved in very similar ways causing accidents whether its being operated by an intoxicated driver, several regular drivers, professional drivers, Autopilot, or FSD to showcase the problem is hardware not driver/software. Specifically accidents where the Tesla veers into objects. No amount of software updates can fix a hardware issue when its susceptible to electromagnetic interference because Teslas and EVs are "computers on wheels". I dedicate this to Jimr for goading me to do this! Im also noting the Model to showcase this issue impacts every model and year of Tesla.

Both FSD cases, 1 professional driver case, & 1 intoxicated driver case, the Teslas slammed into a tree resulting in the death of at least 1 person. The autopilot case the Tesla veered off the road and rolled into a tree. Fortunately the driver survived. Both regular driver incidents involved locked steering.

Could it be that there is a strategy to distract people away from looking at basic data?
Is it an exercise to create forum verbiage to drown out any serious discussion of evidence?
