In most European languages, the comma and period are reversed in meaning from the US style. Perhaps you should learn to speak his language and understand his customs before you criticize. As we become a third world country, that will be a valuable skill.
Dino
OK. Now read between the lines.
If you've been following this stock for a while, you know how the leach operation works. What I read is the dilute cyanide solution has made its way through the ore piled on the pad(s) and has reached the recovery pond. How does he know that the solution is pregnant ("gold laden")? Probably because he can see the precipitate on the Merrill Crowe filters.
In short, Mexus Gold US is back in the business of producing gold. I agree with Paul, that " is great news for Mexus". My estimate is no more than ten days to harvesting that gold and silver. If I understand the new procedure, the PM will be shipped as concentrate rather than as dore. 2000 pound bags won't fit under the bed.
Dino
The PR was written by professionals. More to come, but probably not for another week or two.
Dino
I think that the announcement, probably early next week, that the Trinidad mine is back in operation will raise the PPS to at least $.25. If they also announce a forecast of over 100,000 oz/year production, 50 cents will get buried in the dust.
Dino
Try again. It worked for me just now. I called 800-778-2031.
Dino
I disagree, but only from personal experience. My thyroid level was far enough out of whack that my doctor insisted that I needed to start taking replacement hormone. But I'm also a stubborn bstrd, so I increased the amount of Anatabloc I take instead. My thyroid function has improved each blood test since then and I expect it to be within 'normal' range by my next test (about another month or so). It's a slow process, taking at least 6 months to settle.
The new dosage recommendations came out just before my doctor's decree. We'll discuss it again after my next tests.
Dino
Lief,
Scottrade is inconsistent. I'm looking at the streaming quotes screen and it says STSI is 50x38. That's in 100 share blocks. However, a small mining company I follow, MXSG, is showing 18000x47622. That's in shares, not blocks.
Maybe the style has to do with the PPS. Over a dollar seems to be in blocks, less than that is in shares. Since (sub)pennies tend to trade thousands at a time, you'd think it would be the other way around.
Dino
A Billion dollar surplus?!? Shame on him. He should have spread the wealth around.
If you don't believe that, just read the newspapers. They'll explain it...or will when we get closer to election time.
Of course, as a taxpayer in VA, I'm quite pleased, but I'm just an old fuddy-duddy.
Dino
The old model of mine development was to produce the report first. That made the project "bankable". A bank, or maybe Sprott, would loan them the money to buy the equipment and begin processing. Although the GORO model showed that it works the other way too, even they developed one later to determine how to plan expansion. From their latest 10-Q, it looks like they're creating the report, or its equivalent, before opening the second underground mine.
Paul doesn't have the permits needed to begin digging, but he can keep his crew busy by preparing a report while they're waiting. Eventually he'll want one, so it's not wasted effort. It's just that all concerned would probably rather they were digging.
Betcha Pelke will be short-handed the day they get the permits.
Dino
The article is ancient. She refers to the 200 lozenge bottle and no free trial offer. Both of those "facts" have been false for months. As for no testimonials, there probably weren't any a couple of years ago when she wrote the article.
Dino
From the Mexus website:
Mexus-Trinidad Operations
06/14/2013
Mexus' Paul Pelke has started on the 43-101 report. Drilling to start soon on our target of proven reserves. Mexus plans to restart production approximately 7-1-2013.
Obviously restart has been delayed, but at least the intent to generate a 43-101 is there. It does help stockholders because most institutions won't invest without one. It gives analysts a basis for comparison and, last but certainly not least, it gives credibility to the mining operation to the investing community.
Other than that, it's a waste of time and money.
Dino
"BTW my doctor is top notch and very well informed and willing and eager to learn all that he can."
I take it you have an appointment next week.
Dino
I have, many times. How about h. pylori? I think it took more than 20 years before CDC announced that ulcers could be cured by antibiotics. Until then, very few doctors would treat it with anything other than antacids. The AMA hadn't approved anything else.
Yeah,I know. Until the AMA and CDC approve it, it isn't a proven intervention.
Here's a better example. Look up the Sinclair Method for alcoholism. Over 500,000 patients have broken the habit in Europe, but AA says it can't work, so I know of only three doctors in the US who will use the treatment.
Dino
I liked this part, especially the last sentence.
"We continue to focus on mining and development activities at the La Arista underground mine. Our production rate at La Arista is directly a result of mine development and the establishment of sufficient stopes and working faces. A development drift to access the mineralized zone referred to as Splay 5 was completed at the end of the second quarter. Mining of mineralized material from this vein is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2013."

Every ad I see for a drug lists expected side effects. That list goes on forever. At least a dozen or so on most of them. I personally have suffered side effects from several "government approved" drugs, one of which was nearly fatal. The drug is still on the market, although the company is thinking of discontinuing it. I have several friends who suffer from having taken Vioxx. And then there's thalidomide, which is coming back into use.
Then there's NutraSweet. A product rejected by the committee, but overruled by the agency head. Of course, he didn't work for the FDA much longer. He left to become head of the company that manufactured it.
How about Tylenol? Liver transplant, anyone? Not only fully approved by the FDA, but still recommended by the AMA as the only safe NSAID.
Star has attempted to follow the same type of testing required by our wonderful government agencies. Read what they've found on their FAQ page http://anatabloc.com/faq/.
I should just delete this post. It's been a waste of my time and it's not going to change your mind. But, since I wrote it, I'll post it.
Dino
"safe food and medicine"?!?
So that explains why you don't own stock in Star.

In addition, the Justice Department didn't say he is cooperating. A newspaper columnist with an obvious political bias references uncredited sources.
"A prominent political donor and his dietary supplement company have been cooperating for several months with federal prosecutors in a fast-moving public corruption investigation into Gov. Bob McDonnell, according to three people familiar with the probe."
Here's today's item.

The Truth-o-Meter says: Mostly False | McAuliffe says a judge removed Ken Cuccinelli from the Star Scientific tax case
"Democratic gubernatorial hopeful Terry McAuliffe has repeatedly sought to link GOP opponent Ken Cuccinelli to Jonnie Williams, the CEO of the troubled Star Scientific dietary supplement company."
I'll have to see if I can find it. In the meantime, here's an email I got from the Guv'ner on 7/23.

Statement of Governor Robert McDonnell
Governor McDonnell announced today that loans made to his wife and small family business by Star Scientific CEO Jonnie Williams have been repaid in full.
"Being Governor of Virginia is the highest honor of my 37 years in public service. I am deeply sorry for the embarrassment certain members of my family and I brought upon my beloved Virginia and her citizens. I want you to know that I broke no laws and that I am committed to regaining your sacred trust and confidence. I hope today's action is another step toward that end. Virginia has never been stronger and I plan to focus on creating even more jobs and facilitating greater opportunity during the last five months of my term as your Governor. Our work together on education, transportation, pension reform, voting rights, and economic expansion has produced great results for Virginia," said Governor McDonnell.
The repayments include $52,278.17 for a loan made to Mrs. McDonnell in 2011 and $71,837.00 for two additional loans made to the small real estate business owned jointly by the Governor and his sister in 2012. The payments include both principal and interest.
All monies used for repayment have come from the Governor, the family business itself, or his family.
-----
A note from the Bob McDonnell Team:
Please forward this to your contact list and remind them that with this statement, the Governor
(1) has returned (with interest) the loans from Jonnie Williams;
(2) has apologized for the situation; and,
(3) stands by the Troy Report issued last Friday that stated unequivocally that neither Jonnie Williams nor Star Scientific received any benefit.
-- The McDonnell Team
The article is almost all carefully worded to imply that something is wrong even though there is no evidence. He did make one serious mistake, though.
"But the federal probe is ongoing, as is an investigation by a state prosecutor in Richmond into whether the governor followed Virginia’s gift disclosure laws. Star Scientific has also told investors that it faces a securities probe."
That probe ended more than a week before the article was written and concluded that no laws were broken. Of course, that wouldn't help to distract attention from this other article lead on the same page, would it?

I hope this ends it, but somehow I think McAuliffe will try at least once more.
Dino
Precisely!
Don't you think its a good idea to learn the limits of your product? Yes, we all think that this group, using this protocol, should see no benefit. But, what if they did? What is there were a subtle improvement that most people wouldn't notice? Note, for example, that speed was slightly improved.
Knowing what your product won't do may be just as important as what it can do. As to wasting Star's money, this looks like a pretty cheap test to me.
Dino
Personally, I prefer the writings or Dr. Arthur Robinson, the man who actually performed many, if not most, of Pauling's experiments. Look him up. Last time I talked with him, he was head of the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine.
Dino
Just for the fun of it, I performed a search on "Linus Pauling cancer". The results were what I expected. "Pauling died of prostate cancer on August 19, 1994, at 7:20 pm at home in Big Sur, California." His initial research on vitamin C and cancer was shown to be inaccurate. The group on vitamin C regimen was shown not to have been as sick initially as the control group. Later work by the Mayo Clinic showed that 10,000 mg of vitamin C was no better than a placebo. Mayo wasn't completely right either, as vitamin C and zinc together has been proven to shorten the duration of colds, as in Cold-Eeze(R).
The Institute of Orthomolecular Medicine, aka Linus Pauling Institute, was actually run by Art Robinson. He has some interesting things to say about the results of research there. Art's still trying to get his notes back so he can publish his results. Just an argument between two scientists? Yup, but as Art says, Pauling bet that megadoses of vitamin C would cure his cancer. He lost the bet.

Touché.
My experience with the syndrome was that the patients were treated with steroids, but the diagnosis had been changed to colitis, one of the names formerly applied to IBS, by that time. Remicade and Humira were the drugs of choice.
However, I still disagree with your premise. According to NIH, one recommended treatment is with hyosine. Very interesting description. of course the
World English Dictionary defines inflammation as:
inflammation (??nfl?'me???n)
— n
1. the reaction of living tissue to injury or infection, characterized by heat, redness, swelling, and pain

hyoscine
alkaloid drug obtained from a number of plants of the family Solenaceae, including nightshade, henbane, and jimsonweed. Scopolamine is an effective remedy for motion sickness, probably because of its ability to depress the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). Like atropine, it has a depressant action on parasympathetic nerves and in larger doses on autonomic ganglia. Scopolamine is also used to dry up secretions and dilate the bronchi during anesthesia and to dilate the pupil during ophthalmological procedures. The drug is the most pharmacologically active of several alkaloid substances found in belladonna, partly because of its greater solubility, which permits more rapid passage to the site of action
Dino
"IBS is not inflammatory related. I believe you mean IBD."
Then why do doctors treat it with steroids? I think you meant to say "BS is not inflammatory." Oh, wait. Sometimes it is too.

I've never asked my dog's opinion, but my observations are the following:
He(Rottweiler - Aussie Shepherd mix)is about 13 years old and suffering from hearing and joint problems. He seldom responds except to shouting. (I don't want to use the 2x4 to get his attention. That's reserved for the mule.) He has trouble getting up, and lying down looks more like falling.
He prefers the flavored to the plain Anatabloc, but now eats either willingly. He chews them, rather than allowing them to dissolve in his mouth. It surprised me that he always chews rather than just swallowing them whole.
I started by giving him one in the morning, added a second one in the evening after a while and now try to remember to give him 2 each time. He gets the morning ones every day, but sometimes I skip the evening ones.
He has begun playing with a frequent visitor - a young Pomeranian. They explore the farm and run everywhere.
His favorite thing is to lead the way when I drive the golf cart. He runs in from of me and tries to guess whether to turn at the workshop, or go to the barn, the house or the mailbox.
He still takes a running start to lie down on the couch, but I think it's habit now rather than necessity. Getting up and down from the floor is much improved. I hardly ever hear a 'thump'.
Of course, he's read all the positive posts on this forum and it's really the placebo effect, but who cares? It's working.
Dino
Perhaps this might explain the lack of response.

Mine didn't. I had to stop all blood thinners. That includes Omega 3's, Vitamins D and E, aspirin, etc., but not Anatabloc. Funny thing, Doc couldn't find the tumor anymore, just a red spot where it used to be. Biopsies came back normal. He doesn't believe that Anatabloc keeps them from turning malignant. He will.
Previous urologist became a believer.
Dino
Support? Today everyone got the hose.
Dino
In fact, Star isn't even the thrust of the articles. It's the personal relationship between the Governor, the AG and Jonnie Williams. The product announcement, free samples, etc., are normal business practices for state governments trying to promote local companies.
You're right, the fuss is totally political and totally an, unsuccessful so far, attempt to smear a candidate for Governor of Virginia who is running against the former head of the Democratic party and the current Governor, who is so popular and is doing so well that he's considered a likely candidate for President in 2016.
Dino
The press release is below low-key. Most folks won't realize what Dr. West didn't say. If you use big enough words, you'll lose most of your audience. I think it was deliberate. Sort of makes it hard to claim you're exaggerating.
Dino
Probably because they announced at a conference that they now have the ability to re-grow human limbs. It'll be a while before it happens, but they've identified the cells that can turn into legs.

Lief,
There seems to be a bit of confusion (deliberate, I suspect) about Life Extension Foundation (http://www.lef.org/) and Life Enhancement Products (http://www.life-enhancement.com/).
Life Enhancement Products is the company who went to court with the FDA to allow true statements to be used in the marketing of supplements (http://caselaw.findlaw.com/us-dc-circuit/1311814.html). Durk Pearson and Sandy Shaw, who write for Life Enhancement Magazine and market their products through Life-Enhancement.com filed suit against HHS. I think Will Block, the founder of LEP, not LEF, supported them. Seems to me that it took 3 years, but they won.
The summary:
"Marketers of dietary supplements must, before including on their labels a claim characterizing the relationship of the supplement to a disease or health-related condition, submit the claim to the Food and Drug Administration for preapproval. The FDA authorizes a claim only if it finds “significant scientific agreement” among experts that the claim is supported by the available evidence. Appellants failed to persuade the FDA to authorize four such claims and sought relief in the district court, where their various constitutional and statutory challenges were rejected. We reverse."
Here's a newer case that went all the way.
http://www.life-enhancement.com/magazine/article/2629-pearson-v--shalala-makes-it-to-the-u-s--supreme-court---sort-of
I don't know how LEF fits in the picture, if at all.
Dino
Brace yourself for another attack by the Washington Post. They're conducting a survey this week asking about voter's opinion of gifts to politicians, etc. I've been told that the results are to be published this weekend.
They're after the governor and the AG, but Star will probably suffer collateral damage.
Dino
I appreciate the suggestion, but that just crashed my computer. I had to power off to recover. One more reason to avoid MSNBC.
