Can someone explain to me why "RyanEOD" (a previously unknown shareholder/poster who just decided on a whim to drive up to the open house, brought his camera but didn't take pictures because there was a professional photog there, talked with BW extensively and had nothing but positive things to say) is the person bringing us a PR?
Is it because he was never compelled to post before but now is a DD powerhouse, leading the pack in bringing official BBDA announcements to the table?
Is it because BW has decided to release his PRs to random shareholders he just met before releasing them in any official capacity?
Is it because RyanEOD isn't exactly who he represents himself to be? (Think WYatt posing as someone taste-testing Potencia).
The folks who run this company are probably sitting around laughing at the gullibility of some of the people on this board.
I'd like to know exactly what "Brian Beverage Company" is.
His point is that c-store drink stations sell drinks in large size cups that will hold a lot more than your recommended 2 8oz servings of KU.
Since Melatonin (a key KU ingredient) is a hormone, currently considered a food supplement by the FDA, there can be issues with ingesting large amounts of it. The FDA also has proposed regulations for June 2010 regarding Melatonin, which is regulated in other countries and is unavailable even in prescription form in others.
Large doses of Melatonin are known to cause drowsiness, making operation of a motor vehicle unsafe. What do you suppose will happen the first time someone drinks 3X the recommended amount of KOMA from a 48 oz c-store drink station cup and falls asleep at the wheel?
>>>You sure that is not BW's kid from Halloween night?
No..that's this pic.
No it isn't.
His crown is so..ummm...err...regal.
Here's Thrillin' Dillon in victory lane.
And it was on CNBC, not MSNBC.
Move along...nothing to see here...
I can't find the link right at the moment (short on time), but I believe Scottrade recently made it so you can no longer request paper stock certificates. I'll post a link if I can find it from digging through their convoluted website.
I like this article. The fact that it's targeted at Arkansas, not NYC or LA or Seattle or some other major city/cultural/tech center where 2D barcode acceptance might be expected to take hold first, shows that the rollout of 2D barcodes could possibly be more global (and hopefully quicker) than one might expect with a new technology.
I think there's little doubt it will catch on, but how quickly depends on whether it's first perceived as some sort of chic activity to emulate or as a new, common practice. The introduction of the idea to a more rural location such as Arkansas suggests the latter, IMHO.
I believe Walmart is headquartered in Arkansas, as well.
Don't be so hard on yourself, TVD. I personally think the PPS drop is caused by a guy I work with buying shares.
He's always grilling me on the latest news regarding NEOM and is always muttering "I should have bought some more shares..."
Whenever he breaks down and buys a few more the PPS immediately drops. So I'm going to hazard a guess that he bought some more this morning. I'll have to ask him when I get to work, today.
If you don't think successful marketing and brand recognition contain a strong component of analysis, you really don't understand the topic very well.
I'd love to have a KOMA Unwind but I can't drive to the nearest convenience store and buy one, so I can't. As soon as it's easily available at a reasonable price, I'll be happy to check it out.
Looking forward to some pics from the Open House. It'll be fun to put names with faces for some of the people here who were able to attend.
I'm not aware of any either but apparently the SPEED channel announcers have discovered some. That was a quote from the TV broadcast.
It speaks a little bit to the BevNet review when they were complaining about the can and the KU name. On quick glance it appears that KOMA is the brand name and Unwind is the name of the drink because the two words aren't visually associated very well; different font, color and orientation, etc.
Why does it matter? What if someone really likes KU and wants to try something else by the KOMA drink company? See what I mean? It's not KOMA Guppy Water or KOMA Piranha Water. The name of the umbrella company (Bebida Beverages) is not apparent so there's no quick, obvious way to associate the various products with one another.
Whatever benefit the TV exposure gave to BBDA is an overall positive, but someone looking for a new energy drink is going to be disappointed when they can't find a KOMA energy drink as mentioned on TV while the cameras focused on the 02 KU Truck. Maybe that will help lead people to discovery of the relaxation beverage concept, but that's a pretty optimistic spin to an unfortunate error by the SPEED announcers.
Well..there ya go! Steve Park, "Sponsored by KOMA energy drinks".
>>>Same people still posting the same nonsense.
Including you. Have a nice trip.
The blurry printing is more likely the fault of a shoddy silk-screen job than a low-resolution image.
You occasionally find packaging from any number of well known national companies that is a bit blurry or has the color registration a tad askew, but it's not because anyone has changed the the resolution of the package art.
Every type of printing, whether it's 4 color process or screen printing requires a proper setup. In a small, boutique run like BBDA probably used for KU, the printers aren't going to throw away huge amounts of slightly misprinted cans just to make things look perfect, they're more interested in not wasting money in the form of time or raw material/waste. They'd likely just adjust things as they ran and keep anything that was near-acceptable in the batch.
So changing the artwork itself isn't going to change anything. The cans just need to screen printed properly.
That's the bell that was rung in my head, as well.
Perhaps YA's relationship with Auster as advisors is that Auster will recommend/use YA to finance lower tier, higher risk companies. Once they 'graduate' from YA (as apparently few do) perhaps there's another company with lower risk tolerance and better terms that Auster can direct them to.
Hmmm indeed!
I wonder why these Auster Capital Partners are all so suddenly interested in Neomedia?
nice work, koko.
Main page, over to the left it says "scottrader streaming quotes"
Takes a few mins to familiarize yourself with it but its very customizable and you can save a default layout, as well.
Doesn't Wes Hogg have an issue with you working in his territory?
Does this have anything to do with the catering trucks in Texas that were supposed to start carrying the product long ago?
Thanks, clawmann. It's appreciated.
Might you be able to do another of your recent "possibilities lists" today? Those lists are VERY helpful to help organize thoughts about all the legal and procedural events involved with the cases.
Geez, forget I even said it. It was intended to be lighthearted and humorous and a reference to how the principles couldn't say anything to defend against some of the criticisms, when in retrospect I'm they sure wish they could have.
I got the impression in that call that a lot of people were frustrated because it appeared that nothing was happening with the company. All the while IM and MZ were wishing they could tell us about the various deals that were obviously in the works at that time but couldn't be disclosed on any level.
I am NOT suggesting that nothing untoward has happened with conversions and financing or that everyone should apologize for their tone. That's why I said some! If you have a legitimate gripe, the comment wasn't directed at you.
>>I just can't stop thinking about the last CC.
Same here. Poor guys! I wonder if some of the phone calls during the next CC will start with "I apologize for my tone last time..."
Speaking of which, when is the next CC likely to occur? I'm very interested to hear anything else IM and MZ can tell us about the deals that have been PRed and what's going on with the financing since we apparently haven't been getting our rations from YA for a few months. Maybe with some luck that 'going concern' boilerplate they always throw in can be omitted.
Exciting time to own a bit of this company.
Dean "Harold Hill" Sanders' "positive take" isn't based on anything but his ego. If you want to put your belief in someone who doesn't know anything about the company and has no historical perspective on the people involved or the stock you are just proving how ignorant you are.
I have never been a doom and gloom poster unless you consider reality to be gloomy and spell out doom. That should tell you something right there. Just like Jdub and others, the only thing I have ever done is make sure that in everyone's frenzy (pumped along by the mods and other cheerleaders) to get excited about the stock and the company that they don't forget to keep the negative things in mind. If reality is negative, it doesn't make it bashing: it's still reality. KOMA Unwind's marketing blurb was stolen from Drank. If you don't demand a verifiable explanation for that and demand answers for the rest of the things that cheerleaders would just like you to pretend don't exist (like the fake distributors), then I'm sorry but your ability to think critically is pretty much nonexistent.
People who show up out of nowhere to cheerlead and pretend the negative REALITIES are irrelevant and in the past aren't doing anyone any favors. They aren't increasing the actual value of the stock or making the problems with the company go away, they are working to obfuscate them and put them out of people's minds for personal gains. That bothers me. I think that an honest, balanced view of all the realities connected with a company should be available and I work to make that happen so people can make well-informed choices about whether or not to buy into a company.
If you want to not believe me because you don't like what I say, even though it's 100% true, you're just living in a fantasy world and it doesn't matter what or who you believe. You're a sitting duck for any kind of con man or scam artist who paints you a pretty picture. I'm not calling BW or BBDA con men or scam artists, but make sure you keep all the facts in mind when you decide what you're going to believe.
I hope you make a fortune. I hope everyone makes a fortune except dishonest people who want to make a fortune off other people's misfortune.
Hey Dean,
You've been here 9 days and you are criticizing my contribution to this board? I think you better do some homework before you start critiquing me.
All you've done is contribute an illiterate joke of a "strategy". The same one twice, in fact. Nobody with half a brain is fooled by your ridiculous claims. Where are you a business professor again? What are the successful companies you've started? Put up or shut up.
PRs can have a great impact on the price of a stock, but PRs that sound as though they were written by someone who didn't get past the 4th grade don't do that and you are in no position to make that assessment since your own writing sounds even worse. Nobody takes you seriously.
You have no credibility and have done nothing to provide any, either. I wonder how long until you are named an assistant mod here and start getting personal emails from BW to share with the board. The pattern is already in place: show up out of nowhere being blindly supportive of BW's character, talk up the stock in the face of all the glaring shortcomings, etc.
You aren't fooling anyone, Dean. And anyone who is fooled is exactly that. A fool.
Maybe he should rewrite the KOMA ad copy plagiarized from Drank, too.
He just cursed you out? He told me to go F my mother..in Spanish.
I'm looking forward to meeting him someday at one of the events. He's got a real knack for making friends.
Back in Feb when the USPTO decision came out and NEOM hit the wires, I recognized it as one of the companies I had picked out on a stock screener, so I did some minimal DD and decided to buy in, but at an average of .032.
I then found this board, which has helped me keep the faith with the fantastic knowledge base and DD and traded in and out while averaging down, eventually managing to reduce my average PPS to .0129, so I have just recently gotten out of the red with NEOM.
There's way too much going on right now to get cute juggling NEOM shares. The right news or confluence of events could really bump the price in a big way and I don't want to miss it, so I'm staying put!
Thank you again to all the great folks here for sharing your knowledge of NeoMedia and NEOM.
Laugh if you want to, but I am actually a NASCAR fan, so this is an interesting announcement. I am familiar with Steve Park having watched him race numerous times when he was running modifieds in the Northeast. He *was* a very talented driver and was in a great position to move up in the sport until his second major injury.
The history on his website kind of downplays it, but he had a severe head injury during that second crash and nobody knew if he would ever be able to race again. He did return but was never the driver he was previously. In interviews his speech was very slurred, indicative of his injuries, etc. His truly was a potentially great career cut short by injury.
So he does carry some name recognition for people into the sport, but he's also got the stigma of damaged goods. Provided he can qualify, it should help the KU truck get some air time as a human interest story.
No, srloan, you are wrong. That address is a house.
The strip malls nearby are not warehouses and have nothing to do with the house or any distributorship.
Yorkville is a very well known financier, though rather unpopular due to a reputation of sucking their clients dry.
Have a look:

>>I am sure he is a nice guy, but niceness doesn't raise stock prices, the guy needs to be more professional.
Having a professional Investor Relations guy doesn't raise stock prices, either. Having revenue would help that more than anything. Until the products are widely, easily and affordably available to the general public that's not going to happen, nor should it. There's nothing new or special about BBDA's ideas or products, so expecting an influx of investor capital based on nothing but bottles of water and a relaxation drink that is an identical copy of an existing product is kind of silly.
>>I own 15k in this company, and as long as people are lazy here, this stock will not move.
People being lazy here? Why should the profitability of a company rely on a bunch of shareholders on a message board?
Make no mistake, the share price might bounce around a little bit, but it's really got nothing to do with the website or PRs or any of that. The fundamental aspects of this company are still barely distinguishable from that of a common share-selling scam, most of the "product portfolio" still doesn't even exist and what there is can't be purchased by the general public in stores. The price of shares reflects the value of a company and so far this company has no real value. Certainly not enough to populate over 6 Billion shares.
You're making suggestions to fluff up the company's image, but a fluffy image with nothing to support it isn't going to sustain any shareholder value. BBDA appears to taking some baby steps towards legitimacy, but there's plausible explanations for how it could all be a front for a scam, too. Until there's no question about the true intent you aren't going to see real investment here.
Hey Dean..
"Your press releases have spelling and grammar mistakes are not written according to standard format. Almost every release I have read has some sort of grammar mistake and the news is not written to excite the reader.
I am wondering if someone proof reads these for grammar and if the person writing the release knows the correct format and knows how to include a professional statement a company official that shows the company has vision and has a future. "
If you are going to lecture people about grammar, you might want to use proper grammar. For instance:
"Your press releases have spelling and grammar mistakes are not written according to standard format."
Huh?
"I am wondering if someone proof reads these for grammar and if the person writing the release knows the correct format and knows how to include a professional statement a company official that shows the company has vision and has a future. "
First, 'proofreads' is one word. The rest of this run-on sentence is nonsense.
(3) Advertising
Sex Sells, Do you remember Snapple, no one every heard of it until Howard Stern, when he was a nobody promoted it and the rest is history.
This is gibberish, as well.
"This will be like similar"
OK, pal. Speak English much?
Here's another:
". The piranha ( no body can spell this,"
Let's see. You start a sentence with a period, then insert a parentheses with nothing to close it, 'no body' is one word and the sentence just randomly ends with a comma.
"(5) Youtube video. you posted to shareholders????????"
Here's a hint, Mr. "me,a university business professor,a business consultant, and some successful companies I have run." Professional adults don't type 8 question marks at the end of sentences.
"In Los Angeles, there is a Tack Truck literally on every street corner. "
Cool! A Tack Truck? I guess if you want to buy some tack you are all set.
If I was in business and received an unsolicited email from someone with such remarkably poor writing, grammar and spelling skills as yourself, especially one laughingly claiming to be a professor, I would toss it in the trash as a joke. You have no business advising anyone about presentation. Your own is pathetic and barely literate and nobody with an ounce of business sense would take you seriously.
You should try "proof reading" your own output.
This is a question I have, as well. Is CTIA the only authority in granting this status? Have they indicated when they might make a decision about the clearinghouse(s)?
Wait and see isn't an answer. We're already waiting to see. We want to know specifically what we're waiting for and what we're going to see. Is Neustar's current clearinghouse status for shortcodes and the like enough to just sort of default them into the position, or is there a competition going on? Weren't applications recently taken for the clearinghouse? Verisign was one of the applicants along with NSR. HAs a decision date been given for that process?
Thanks for any substantive info.
It's hard to hear exactly what he says because he's kind of rushing right there, but it sounds like he says
"Microsoft's hard at work at it with some great folks other...other companies that I could mention but I won't...that are also hard at work at it."
I took the word "with" to mean they are working with the other companies. I guess you could also interpret it as saying there are other companies hard at work at the same thing, too. Hard to say.
As someone else posted, it's probably a lot more relevant that he describes the exact nature of the indirect model as being the important difference.
Yes, this is a very interesting interview. Especially when the nice gentleman from M icrosoft intimates that they're working with some 'other companies' he won't mention just after the 2:00 mark.
Woohoo!!!
thanks, Joey!
I mean seriously..Thanks!
If they are doing an autopsy on someone it's probably a little too late to care how much KOMA they drank.
TP, you need to give this a rest because it's just not true.
As has already been pointed out to you the last time you brought it up, SIRI has 3.89 Billion shares out and a PPS over .60 based on earnings of a little over 2 billion and a history of NEVER being profitable. They have a lot more long term debt than NEOM, too.
If NEOM begins to earn $$$, there is no reason the PPS can't go to 1.00 or more.
I think what everyone should be concerned about with the KOMA brand not being directly owned by the BBDA corporation, but instead by Daisy L. Ramirez Assoc, is that KOMA is being used to generate interest in BBDA and thereby sell shares or sustain/increase share price.
However, given BBDA and BW's assorted legal issues, should the corporation's assets be seized or a bankruptcy filed, etc, the KOMA brand would not be part of that since it isn't owned by BBDA. Potencia could then use and profit from the brand if it gets produced and distributed. Hence, the money you spent on BBDA shares goes down the toilet and you make nothing from the KOMA brand. Does anyone here seriously think BBDA isn't capable of that kind of bait-and-switch after reading the complaint about them hiding shares to avoid having to hand them over?
A poster claiming to be BW has some set of excuses why it's not owned by BBDA, but at this point I don't believe anything BW says about anything, if in fact those are even his words in the first place. The only concrete, provable info we have is that BW and BBDA are involved in a lawsuit regarding failure to meet a contractual requirement, apparently by means of deception.
I just think it's important for people to realize that if they think they are investing in KOMA when they put money into BBDA, they aren't. Just because the same people own DLR assoc and all three BBDAs and Potencia LLC and goodness only knows what else, doesn't mean they are automatically linked. in fact, people put assets in different legally defined entities for specific reasons. We've got an explanation from someone claiming to be BW, but his word isn't worth dirt, so I'd be inclined not to put any confidence in it whatsoever.
And by the way..kiefur...the word is "probably", not "proberbly".
