When Susman was first retained by our EC, he (in essence) stated that the value of WMI was in WMI's Estate and that whatever recovery that the common shareholders were to receive would be from WMI's Estate.
In addition, in the good Dr. Shankara's opinion, WAMU was worth anywhere from $300 Bilion to $500 Billion. But I didn't know WHERE it was nor HOW it was going to be recovered. However you have answered those questions. In addition you also answered the questions "How much money do we, who gave releases, get?" (Answer: A whole lot); and "When do we get it?" (Answer: Soon).

For those of us who gave realeases, it's literally "a once in a lifetime opportunity". And thanks again from one who really appreciates your hard work and very generous sharing of your dd.

I'm not an Attorney. However my understanding is that a POR and any amendments thereto must be first approved by the court. And before that happens, a "Disclosure Statement" must be presented and approved by the court (or at least that's what happened in the WAMU Bankruptcy).

(He also own a little over one million shares of WAMUQ in the successful conclusion of the Washington Mutual Bankruptcy.) I don't know what the valuation is for ANVGQ. However,the purchase of 300,000 additional shares of ANVG (and him having to resign from the EC in order to do it) tells me that POR# 1 will be amended to allow us retail shareholders to have a more equitable/fair participation in the ANVGQ Estate.

IMO, Michael Willingham and Steven Godfrey/Edgar Sargent are "winners" and I like "riding" with "winners". ("Stick" with them and I'm sure you'll be glad you did.)b]

Yes, it's similar to Kmart but with the exception that unlike Kmart, we retail equity share holders didn't get "kicked out" (per POR 1 thru 6) and thanks to Nate, WM, and Susman & Staff, we get a chance to "ride with the Big Boys"/SNHs per POR 7. And yes WMIH gets NOL/tax benefits of approximately $2.1 Billion (35% of $6 Billion). However, according to Steve Susman (when he was first appointment as EC Council,) the real "...value and chance of recovery for Common Shareholders was the WaMu Estate" (now the WMLT)

25% of $40 Billion = $10 Billion for Commons' LTI.

$10 Billion ÷ by approximately 1.1* Billion Common Shareholders that gave releases =$9.09 per Common LTI.

*Note: Of the 1.7 Billion Common Shares Outstanding, only about 1.1 Billion of Common Shareholders gave their releases.

IMO The current manipulation, repression, and "smash" by the the U.S. in the "paper" (COMEX & London) prices of gold will soon be replaced by the real "physical" market prices of gold in the East. (And it is important to note that the prices of gold are now in "backwardation" which indicates "tight supply" compared with very large demand that normally results in higher prices.) Therefore, purchases of physical gold by China, India, and Russia makes it a "no brainer" that the prices of gold will increase substantially as all the gold moves from the West to the East and the U. S. loses its' World Currency Reserve Status.

Okay. We know that GYSTD has approximately 300,000 ozs of gold reserves. Let's assume that the bull market in gold is now resuming and that the price of gold advances to say $2,000 or more an oz. --- then in your considered opinon, what would you expect the price of GYSTD to be under those circumstances?

Justforfun. Here's a question for you: You stated that "The B shares own this company" and "If there ever would be a buy out the (A) common shareholders would get nonthing". So in your opinion, "Why do the officers of GYST (Paul Howard, CEO and Joseph Mezey, CFO) own a "substantial" number of GYST (A) Common Stock?" They already own all of the B shares via their RENARD (Partnership) so according to your opinion, their ownership of any GYST ("worthless") A shares would be unnecessary.

Justforfun. I don't think Buffett owns any GYST or any gold mining companies. However, other successful investors/the "Big Boys" (like George Soros and John Paulson) and Soverign Nations (like China, India, and Russia) own and are "seriously" accumlating physical gold, silver, and the shares of gold, silver, and other resource mining companies. So that means that we, like the "Big Boys", will also profit when the "Bull Market" in precious metals and the shares of precious mining companies (like GYST) resumes.

[NOT IF. (The Question is only one of WHEN?, i.e. Timing)] the price of gold advances to $2,000 and above, then none of what we are currently discussing will matter. Of course, then, when the price of gold trades at more than $2,000, then the prices of gold mining companies, including GYST, will be substantially higher. Now I could be wrong, but from a Price/"Technical" point of view, IMO "THE LOW IS IN" for gold, silver, and gold and silver mining companies.

Differences of opinions is what makes markets. So here's a suggestion: Mark this post for future referrance, because then we can both look back and see if I was right or wrong.

IMO: The price(s) of "paper" (COMEX/London) gold (and silver) has been "smashed" by the "Powers That Be". However, that is all about to change with the real "price discovery" being transferred from the West (the U.S. and London) to the "physical" gold market(s) in the East/China. When that happens, we will see $2,000 or more for the price of gold. Then we will see what a real "Gold Rush" is like with the continuation of the "Bull Market" in gold (and silver). Needless to say, I'm extremely "Bullish" on gold and gold mining companies.

SMResources, Where did you get (or How did you determined) that GYST has "125 million in ESTIMATED TOTAL GOLD RESERVES!"? That's a lot of Gold Reserves!

Or an easier way: The Ps of $1,000 + The Ks of $25 = $1,025 which is 75%. The Common gets 25%. So 25% is 1/3 of 75% (25%/75%). Therefore, the Commons gets 1/3 of what the Ps and Ks get which is 1/3 of $1,025 or $341.666.

You guys figured it out (and I agree with you totally)!!! I had initally thought that our substantial recovery for our prior WAMU Common Shares would come from WAMU's law suit against the FDIC (both Receiver and Corporate) in THJRC's Court in Washington, D.C. However, as you pointed out, there is not need to continue that law suit because everything has already been previously agreed to/settled by all parties involved. JPMC/FDIC will pay us prior Retail WAMU Shareholders the substantial recoveries in POR 7 that the SNHs were going to steal from us in POR 6. Your explainations of the facts makes perfect sense.
In any event, I just had to give "credit where credit is due". You guys have done a wonderful job of DD.
