Has anyone here ever brine a turkey before they cook it?
Yep, it's definitely worth doing. Just be sure to stop by a hardware store to pick up a container large enough to hold the turkey. Get a lid, too, so you can put the turkey outside overnight (unless it's freezing or too warm).
I cannot IMAGINE boiling a turkey in oil. First, it's really dangerous; second, the peanut oil would cost more than the bird; third, you can't STUFF it, and the stuffing's the best PART...
