Great new feature, it gives Ihub more of a personable/community feel which is one of the reasons why people already like Ihub. I did one as a test on my board, and then removed it.

I love sticky notes! but, i think it needs to be a darker shade of yellow..just a tad too bright and distracting

Very cool, but I think I have a potential issue. I mod a premium board and thought this might work to announce a significant ibox update, or even breaking news, but I can't post as I'm freebie. I needed to post about a new development which could effect shareholders.

The sticky note feature allows for board manipulation by the moderators and assistant moderators who may in fact be there to promote the stock for personal financial gain!! What procedure has IHUB implemented to remove moderators and assistant moderators from their positions in light of this manipulative new feature not allowed to the normal posters??

When adding a sticky to a posters post it duplicates the post on the board...ETNL

take a look...Is there a way to fix that???? Maybe hide the original until the post is removed...Not that it matters, now that I see how it works...

For me personally, I think it is very irritating, especially when the mod's are only there to pump the stock...we should be able to block the poster who posted it IMO...

just a thought, perhaps some basic instructions on the webpage when you go to manage sticky notes such as

description; what are sticky notes
how to use them
15 minute window to edit
how to remove them

might be helpful to newcomers that become Mods and maybe even some of us old farts

Sticky Notes!

From the brilliant keyboard of MEATLOAF comes a new feature.....Sticky Notes.

How it works:

- They are added/removed by Mods, Assistants, and Admin
- Up to 3 sticky notes per board
- A sticky is a post that is selected to be featured/stuck at the top of the message list -- it doesn't scroll and is highlighted in yellow (my favorite color) until the Mod/Assist/Admin removes it.
- To be used to highlight important announcements, brilliant posts, or in the case of Admin - important board announcements when you crazy people get out of control.
- Admin-issued stickies will also have red font.

To post a sticky, a Mod/Assist just needs the post # (not msg#), go to Manage, then Manage StickyNotes.

A suggestion if I may; when we go to Manage Sticky Notes, would it possible to see who added the sticky note? Something like how we can see who did the banning. It's just a good thing to know so one see which assistant is doing what.

WTG on the sticky notes. I have the running total for the GATORS/GAMECOCKS game for my sticky note post and I just changed the score from 28 to 0 to 28 to 3 and it changed in the stickynote post also SWEET!

Matt...love the Sticky Notes...very good idea

I have a request...I think it would be fantastic, if we could highlight certain posts, but not necessarily be "Sticky" in terms of their positions

IOW...Some of us still miss the ability to use different colored or different sized fonts...and being able to use a yellow highlight would probably mollify us a good bit...LOL

Just something the mods/assistants could do...and limit of 3 is fine...

Please ask the multi-talented Meatloaf about this:)

Sticky Note minor bug....any board with sticky notes on it if you click on the "read posts" from your favorites, it doesn't take you to the last unread post any more.

Now here's a case where a person posts a sticky on info that he KNOWS is absolutely wrong.. He KNOWS it yet posts false info as a sticky note? Info that's been talked about on that board since 10/28 when it was filed with the state of NV.. yet the co. doesn't change the info in pinksheets, and he posts the false stuff...

Love the sticky notes. However, most people seem confused by them. Suggestion -- put a little icon next to the "sticky note" post in question that becomes a link if clicked to an explanation of what it is, and says "sticky note" when the mouse passes over it. Just like you do when a post is restored there's a green recycle icon that says "restored post" when the mouse goes over it.

Too many people think the stinky notes are a bug and ask "why is there an old out of sequence post stuck up there? what's going on?

Sounds like one more way for mods to manipulate the system and shove their point of view down our throats! A mods job is to do exactly that, moderate a board, not control it and direct it into the direction they choose.IMO

Please remove a very annoying "sticky note" on my HRCT site ........a duplicate of a post already received.....
It just hangs there , with it's prior dating , ahead of any and all posts that come to the site........
Don't you have a sense as to how annoying that might be to readers.....??
