I agree with everything in your post but this...
Even on the big board stocks, anything that transitions from "tariffs hurt this stock" to "Trump is stupid" needs to be nipped in the bud.
tariffs do hurt stocks and can be discussed pertaining with that stock, we all know who's doing it and that doesn't need to be mentioned, but we should be allowed to remove the posts that deviate from the original discussion that devolve into the culprit doing it. It would seem there will be no way to avoid it any more.
You may as well drop member moderation going forward.
A vast number of stock boards accept personal attacks now.
I will comply as instructed per the april 5th post which I didn't see until now.
What will happen to the djt NO POLITICS board now. With no distinction, it will become just another mess.
Now be fair, Paulie. Apicius COULD go to a store and buy stuff. Well, he went to a market or markets. He could also go to a pub. They seem mostly to have been frequented by ordinary people. You could drink and get a meal. People without stoves and ovens at home could also buy prepared food. Takeout.
Yes, and unlike Apicius, today I found out that you could go to a store, buy food uncooked and go home and cook it yourself.
You should also take the plastic-covering off those individually-wrapped slices of cheese for an especially good taste.

Hmmm....I wonder if there might be anything here for my air fryer...
Why thank you!
Here, I was just looking for some recipes by Apicius:

That isn't the only modern translation; there are several newer ones.
Happy belated 24th IHUB Birthday! Thanks for everything, including the recipes.
Paulie's Pixel Palace
You are missing the point.
How can anyone possibly think straight, post coherent messages and trade with what appears to be a grainy IHUB logo?
That's because on April 1st they used my April Fools prank logo, which was based on the old, larger IHUB logo.
Paulie's Pixel Palace
I disagree. It's been low quality since April 2nd.
It could be that you need to see an optician
Why is the iHub logo so grainy? You would think it should be of higher resolution. Is it saving on bandwidth?
there were two guys on X that posted changes-- they deleted their accounts.
I don't think so anymore, get. I used to have a site in My Favorites that I checked all the time for SS changes for all companies as well as a lot of other things. But the site closed down for some reason, maybe legalities. Then someone turned me on to another site that did the same thing in a slightly different format, but that too closed down.
Hopefully, there is one and someone gives a link to it.
is there a site that has daily share structure changes? TIA
And there will always be whack jobs who don't like the current president and they'll now feel free to voice their opinions.
Sure. But if the president himself isn't a whackjob, then things will generally be calmer.
Kind of to my point. If it's allowed now, it should be allowed always. And there will always be whack jobs who don't like the current president and they'll now feel free to voice their opinions.
Will the policy change depending on who's in office? Even if it's not a lunatic but someone who's normal?
If it's a normal person who doesn't single-handedly wreck our economy, there'd be no reason for the kind of discussion you describe.
But there's also a large population of people that believe the broader market impacts all stocks including OTCBB.
But those people are in the minority, Shelly. I'd say that the majority of posters to any board would like to keep politics off their boards. They're the ones who should decide on this particular policy, imo. Case in point is a board that's currently one of the top boards being posted to and there's hardly any political posts being made. So there's no problem. I don't know what boards are being inundated with politics but if you let the Genie out of the bottle on this, it'll only become a worse problem and spread. We have too many years ahead of us to suffer more than we already do.
And what happens when there's a new President? Will the policy change depending on who's in office? Even if it's not a lunatic but someone who's normal?

Slowly but surely
I hear you and you're preaching to the choir. I absolutely do not believe that political discussion leads to healthy discourse on a stock specific board. However, these days, the line between politics and business/stocks have been blended and are blurred.
The consensus, in general, in world opinion, is that the decisions by the current administration are dictating the ebb and flow of the financial markets' volatility.
And, yes, like a lot of other comments I've received, you believe this in no way is impactful on OTCBB stocks. But there's also a large population of people that believe the broader market impacts all stocks including OTCBB.
I also get that you'd like there to be a distinction between higher level discussion of the ins/outs of tariffs, as opposed to simply "This President is a genius/stupid". I agree on smaller scale, but we have 1000's of Mods and 1 Admin. We, to the best of our ability, need to make it seamless as people move from board to board across the site.
So, yeah, I agree in general - but as an Admin, it's just not that simple. :)
IMHO, loosening this is an error, things tend to break down from anything to do with specific stocks or the general market and into the pro- or anti- Trump BS that needs to remain confined to the boards designated to discuss it. It's happened to the DD board already. Let's face it, there is no political policy that has an impact on the OTC stocks that get the most discussion, and it should remain prohibited. Even on the big board stocks, anything that transitions from "tariffs hurt this stock" to "Trump is stupid" needs to be nipped in the bud.
Alas.... Lol.
I'm now seeing posts complaining about so many political posts and not much posting about the stock.
Oh yes. You really can't win. But surely these people complaining realize that Trump's crazy tariffs are having a very real, and very big, effect on the market.
Trump has now partly backed off, so perhaps some boards will become more normal.
The proverbial Good Old Days.
Correct, ma'am. Eight years ago, politics were never on my mind.
In those days, all I worried about was the legalizing of weed in New York, and that porn sites would remain free.
Paulie's Pixel Palace
I'm now seeing posts complaining about so many political posts and not much posting about the stock.
Think of it like the Black Plague. It cannot be stopped. It will have to burn itself out, leaving half the populace dead. For the moment, the economy of the board will be ruined. You won't be able to tell who's a good guy, and who's a bad guy.
Lies will spread at the speed of light! Some posters may survive with empty portfolios, but because of the incredible mortality rate, they'll be wearing rich people's underwear, their first experience of the finer things.
And then in about 20 years, a new light will dawn. The economy's vigor will be restored, and civilization will move forward once again.
Even here at IHub.
Politics has now taken over the stock board I moderate.
Please let us know when we return to regular scheduled broadcasting.
WOW.. Times are changing... as Dylan would say.. .. Thanks Shelly... FYI -- Love that Keanu Reeves message. I printed it to tack it on my board to remind me not to give a ratz azz of bashers that are always bashing me LOLOL..
Gosh, they've been down now for something like 48 hours (XRP, Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.)......?
Okay so hey ; I know that you're NOT actually TRYING to be "sneaky" but......
Geez, it (almost) LOOKS like ya' ARE eh ?
Come on !
Ethereum I see you've gotten back up and running but.......
Litecoin, Bonk, Bitcoin, XRP and who else ISN'T ?
.
Uh, I doubt that it has a lot to do just with me.....
It seems more "systemic" than that.
Man, trouble just follows you wherever you go, doesn't it?
Tell us that you don’t have a clue about how the Covid relief funds were targeted and used without telling us you don’t have a clue.
Oh, you just did.
It's hard to make a general, blanket statement without the context. It's difficult to say that people discussing what they see as the positives/negatives of this Administration's policies should be disallowed since it is impacting markets. But, I get that it can be cumbersome and arduous as a Mod. Mods can always report the posts and I'll make the call.
Sounds like you changed from Classic view. Go to Settings/Site Options and scroll to the bottom. Make sure that says "Classic" instead of "Latest Posts".
How about ihub getting $214,000 in covid relief funds forgiven. How could an online company be affected by covid
What a scam ihub turns out to be

IHub got $214k. Most reports say they have between 20-25 employees
https://projects.propublica.org/coronavirus/bailouts/search?q=investorshub&v=1
Park's buddy Pavic got over $120k for his 4 RECON LLC employees...presumably including himself.
Bearish
Does these mean back & forth arguing that Trump good/bad is ok as long as it's not "personal" ?
Hey Dave, can you kindly put the “next” button back at the upper right of the posts where it belongs and has been for hundreds of years ?
Moving it down or removing that location was a dumb idea, in my opinion
UD
Dave can we put the ‘next’ button back where it belongs, where it has been forever , in the upper right hand? Why was this change made today ? It makes reviewing posts more difficult
Thank you
Don't bring politics here, dude.
We are about to have high volumes in stocks.
I wish I could mod more boards, but they select based on how many posts you removed? Really weird way of doing this.
Content is what generates views.
I deleted this post before reading yours, Shelly.
We need to get rid of the IRS. If these tariffs work out by end of year, this is on the table as thats the same amount of money government could get ….i would rather the worlds largest companies and countries pay what i was paying to IRS, lol
It led to three replies which I also deleted. Tariffs have nothing to do with a shell ticker which is what these were posted to.
And orange man is messing with stock prices. A direct correlation.
Fluctuation in stock prices brings conversation and excitement. I'm enjoying this and these next 4 years like nothing else, ever. Gonna be great 🚀
Board reads picking up.
We live in interesting times.
Thanks for the clarification. Going to be a long 4 years! 😁
