Let's say the letter is real, what's it's actual meaning? What precisely is in the hands of the company?

If they were given a decision by the UK, we should know tomorrow. If they were asked further questions, we'll learn nothing as the company won't discuss RFI's.

Ooh I believe that you believe that its real, but its not.

The email address is valid, and all technical markers (signed-by, mailed-by, TLS) are authentic.
However, the Sunday morning timestamp raises serious doubts about the authenticity of the interaction, especially if the message contains new or non-generic content. The line “The application is not backlogged and is with the company” sounds strangely convenient, unprompted, and not consistent with MHRA’s usual phrasing. Also, the MHRA would never confirm material application status like that to a retail investor. The MHRA does not disclose the status of ongoing MAAs to third parties (including retail investors or the general public).

If MHRA had responded substantively, it would almost certainly have included boilerplate disclaimers, names, and references — not just a vague status line.
The lack of visible full headers (which would verify DKIM, SPF, and other anti-spoofing checks) means we’re entirely relying on an image that Im convinced is doctored.

The MHRA probably has sent text such as "We cannot comment on ongoing applications. Please refer to the company for further information.” And thas ass altered that text in wording tahts laughable.

So its a fake.
