Iwfal “But regardless, chronic drug taking patients, taking drug was a disease with no symptoms, have a long history of poor compliance. Particularly as it becomes more general retail.” Are you trying to say that because Vascepa has now got a much larger larger expanded label with more indications that means that more people will stop taking the drug? What is your point?

One thing that is missed by some here including I.Waffle is that there are many who rather pay more to get the best stuff rather getting a lesser drug inorder to save money. Take me for example, I have a sky high deductible, and most of the doctors I go to don't take my insurance, so I basically pay out of pocket. But even though it costs me a bundle I am curing myself taking the best stuff, and paying out top prices. Do intelligent people really want to short their health and save money?

Iwfal. Sorry think I missed your earlier post

If you do a search you’ll see how many millions buy dietary supplement fish oil from Costco etc

They do this because they believe there is long term benefit ... ie chronic use

There is little evidence to support benefit in this “ fish oil “ but people take it religiously

How difficult do you think it will be to convert some of this existing market base to a “ fish oil “ with proven benefit in reducing risk of heart attack and stroke ... if available with a low co pay .

My point ... there is already an existing market where “ fish oil “ caps are used for perceived chronic benefit .
