I agree 100% with the dilution part and the serial ones are well known for those who care to research it. But there are those too that have been quiet then wake up with huge volume that continues for an extended period. All of a sudden everybody wants "in" but since the trading has been dormant very few are in it so there's few sell orders. So where do those shares that are being purchased come from? Mms short them, imo, make money on volume, the brokers make money on trades and nobody cares until it gets out of hand. I don't know if they're chilled but POWT comes to mind. They traded millions and millions of shares over an extended period with no increase in the outstanding share count from 10q to 10q. Only the sharp traders and mms made money there.
