Fidelity Managed Accounts.
HI, I'm now retired and in process with moving my work 401k to Fidelity, and they propose using a managed account. Fidelity calls this arrangement a strategic discipline, and in my case includes a mix of US large cap companies and bonds. This account includes an annual advisory fee of 0.64%, among possible other costs. Does anyone have experience with such arrangements at Fidelity? Are these fees justified for their professional attention? Thanks!
I do look at every day, particularly the DecisionPoint Market Scoreboard at the very bottom of the page.
Would you do same when reducing the value?
Brokers for Index ETFs.
Good Monday Morning.
I need to transfer my work 401k to a personal account. I currently have some accounts with Schwab, but I find them lacking in charting and data for AIM. I'd appreciate your comments about other investment firms. I've heard Fidelity, Vanguard, and Interactive Brokers are reasonable alternatives.
Thanks in advance for your comments.
Jeff
Morning, Tom,
Are your V-Wave plots for individual stocks or diversified funds?
Thanks,
Jeff
Hi. What is the source of the calculator you show in the image? Thanks.
Thanks. I check this site daily. I also watch the AIM site, https://investorshub.advfn.com/A-I-M-Users-Bulletin-Board-949.
How is anyone in the phased retirement program handling their TSP? I'm considering this type of retirement and have studied the program but would appreciate hearing pros and cons from actual experience. Thanks.
I sold out a while ago, as I'm nearing retirement and very risk averse.
St. Maarten?
I bought S, I, and C Monday.
Thanks! Helpful!
Emergency Protection
How can I protect my AIM programs in the event of my sudden demise or incapacitation? I want to protect my accounts from possible significant losses in such an emergency. I could engage a financial manager, but I don't like paying as much as 1.5% every year for this protection. Another option is to switch to very conservative funds or ETFs, but this method limits growth. I'd appreciate any comments of references on this matter. Thanks!
What Charting Service are People Currently Using?
I've been using http://www.freestockcharts.com which is still free, but only works as a legacy system on Windows IE, not Edge, and is beginning so show signs of failing, at least for me.
Thanks,
JD
Thanks. You confirmed my simplistic analysis that these funds are essentially a cash substitute.
Anyone AIMing TIPX or SPIP?
If so, what are your most successful parameters?
Or, are you just using as a cash substitute?
Thanks and hope you and your family stay well.
Very similar to the NYSE Bullish percentage index. See https://www.investorsintelligence.com/x/free_chart.html?r=101l
or use symbol BPNYA.
Would you use the stock or diversified v-Wave for energy ETFs? Also, what do you think about general commodity funds right now, such as DJP and DBC?
I treasure the short summers here in NH too. I played Summer several times -- thanks.
Have you experienced any issues trading FVL due to its low-volume?
Very helpful -- thanks. One follow up question: What's the best way to start AIMing bond funds with their very low, or even negative, beta?
How do you AIM a bond fund with a beta of -0.08? Thanks.
6MEA -- 6 day moving exponential average?
Book: I Guarantee You Will Buy Low Sell High and Make Money, by Jeffrey Weber.
Anyone heard of this book or author? I discovered at the Amazon Kindle site. The book description includes "...shows you how to use my Automatic Investment Management (AIM)..."
Thanks -- very helpful.
Anyone Using AIM for TSP Retirement Funds?
TSP stands for Thrift Savings Plan; it's the 401k-like retirement plan for federal employees and military members. TSP's main funds track these indices: GSPC, W4500, EFA, and AGG. There are also some lifecycle funds if you desire income, or plan to retire in 2020, 2030, 2040, and 2050.
Thanks.
A copy of the spreadsheet, please.
Having the same problem with the site.
