Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) is said to be moving forward with plans to establish what would become the largest server farm in Israel, according to a report published by Calcalist.

The report indicates that the semiconductor company is expected to formally unveil the project in the near future, though it did not disclose the sources behind the information.

As part of the plan, Nvidia is reportedly in talks to lease a data center that is currently under development and to help finance its construction, which carries an estimated cost of 1.5 billion shekels. In addition, the company is expected to make substantial investments in computing hardware.

Including equipment spending, the overall cost of the project could reach approximately 4.84 billion shekels, equivalent to around $1.5 billion. Construction of the facility is expected to be completed roughly 18 months after the agreement is finalized.
