Talk about raining on our parade!! This is sickening to me that we had a runaway. Just when the mo mo gets going. I wonder if this is why the stock price had taken a beating lately.

I would think they could design something that when the aerostat broke away from the tether which I understood had fiber running up the tether that it would indicate loss of signal and then would engage tracker device...Just a thought.I do understand a error by a human that you specified Indy....

An altitude-activated tracker would do the trick. When the BIB goes higher than it's tether would allow, as would happen in a break-away, the tracker gets activated. Worth the weight.
