point taken and probably would wipe quit a few of the radar screen as we saw by the OCT 08 shareholders list many held a few hundred shares But I do agree I don't see it anyway
If the # of owners were dropped from 8030 to say 190 in order to take it private would that be considered an ownership change in the first 2 years and would put the NOLS in jeopardy!
Not True if a company sees that improving their value in the company by a RS will do so without the Shareholders approval. Again it could be to wipe out the minority holders and only focus on the Majority shareholders......Take AIG, they did not hesitate in doing a reverse split and did so to bring their share value up. Way above a dollar where we are clearly not and may not be above a dollar unless a RS is implemented.
Catz - its also possible that holders of under 100 shares or (insert number here) post R/S may be cashed out. This would reduce any outrageous reverse split factor. Just my experience with penny stocks.
