I'm no authority, but I 'm told Chinese New Year is in full swing over there. And apparently NOTHING interferes with Chinese New Year.

I sent out multiple emails to JBT competitors and Chinese metal alloy companies who manufacture heat sinks a couple of weeks ago , to make them aware of Bourque and Kryron. I received just 2 replies so far.

Both said they were out of office for an extended time due to Chinese New Year and would get back to me (still havent)

Not trying to explain away your lack of response, but apparently they take their New Year festivities as more than a day or 2 away from work. I'm sure someone here has some experience with the Chinese culture who can tell us more.

jenee, I would strongly recommend picking up the phone and calling them. I see it all the time--companies often neglect their email. A phone call should clear up the issue rather quickly, certainly in less time than a week.

Also, were the emails you sent in English or Chinese? It's possible someone received English text that they didn't have the time or wherewithal to deal with. You could try running the English text through Bing or Google translator and then sending that. I still recommend the phone though.

I can confirm what Alvie has posted. . . there have been several communications with Mr. Fisher.

The conclusions based on the internet presence regarding JBT are not correct. . . I have worked for a couple of large, on going companies, one in manufacturing [aircraft] the other a [petroleum] marketing company, both doing business nationally and one having international sales.

BOTH companies had 'mature' info and neglected their site for periods of time measured in years. Other have posted similar instances and one member posting here owns a company that is in the 'same boat'.

Early on here, I took it upon myself to check out the armor competition. . . I searched dozens of companies that sold armor and found less than 4 that had current web sites.

The point being, companies that don't rely on the internet for sales and have existing mfg and sales relationships, do not rely on their web site for much of anything and it is common to sell what we have all experienced from JBT's internet presence.
