Not venting. Just telling you that your criticism of the TCG for changing their tune is baseless. The world will require more and more security going forward. Not less. Get used to it and deal, brother. Otherwise find another planet to cyber-scorn.

Saying "so much for opt-in" is erroneous and damaging (a la the Pentium III serial number fiasco).

Equating ubiquity-of-TPMs with abandonment-of-"opt-in" is, at best, careless.

Even after TPMs are ubiquitous, the TCG paradigm remains "opt-in."

Users may choose not to enable the TPM.

That's very important.
