With Lenovo coming in well under expectations, one would think that Lenovo would want to work with its distribution partner, Wave, and activate TPMs and use Wave’s better 2FA!!! I keep mentioning Steven K Sprague, and one of the reasons I do is because if you listen to the YouTube video on SiliconANGLE the CUBE at HoshoCon2018 you will hear him talk about ‘device authentication/identity’ and that is what is SO IMPORTANT and not using this helped contribute to the 9 trillion dollars in cybercrime losses the world had in 2024!!! Steven has just been ahead of his time and after watching this video, you’ll have somewhat of an understanding why he should be the best thought leader on cybersecurity for this country and the WORLD!!! He shouldn’t be wasting his time in a court room or writing up specs on how tokens should be handled in the future!!! Can anybody grab a clue that Steven is not needed in court!!! He needs to lead the United States out of the mess we are in!!! And a hacker has claimed (story on hackread) that 1.2 billion Facebook records were hacked?? When are we going to free up SKS, and have him simply explain to a Trump cyber czar what needs to be done??!! IMO that is the U.S.’s best hope for a good outcome!! SKS knows TPMs, how they get turned on at scale, he knows Wave’s technology, he is up on what is going on with Trusted Computing, and he can simply explain what needs to be done and how best to accomplish it!!! I have an idea Methinks (that may be dangerous 😄😂). The Rivetz shareholders and Wave shareholders may haunt Steven K Sprague for the rest of his life IMO for what went down!! Why not drop the case against Steven K Sprague if he is willing to give up 100,000 of his shares (he has 200,000 shares) in Wave as a form of restitution!!! Why doesn’t someone write an article on why employees (ie. Jen Easterly and Chris Krebs) in the government didn’t push for the activation of TPMs? Why even put them in computers if you are not going to activate them with Wave? Why did the computer industry spend billions of dollars on TPMs for them not to be activated??? Cyber attack on Legal Aid Agency exposed 'significant' data, including criminal records

A "significant amount of personal data" of people who applied to the Legal Aid Agency - including criminal records - was accessed and downloaded by hackers, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has said.
The group that carried out the cyber attack says it accessed 2.1 million pieces of data, but the MoJ has not verified that figure, it is understood.
The government became aware of the incident on 23 April, but realised on Friday it was more extensive than first thought.
An MoJ source put the breach down to the "neglect and mismanagement" of the previous government, saying vulnerabilities in the Legal Aid Agency systems have been known for many years.
The Legal Aid Agency (LAA), is an executive agency, sponsored by the MoJ, which is responsible for administering legal aid funding - around £2.3bn in 2023/24.
The data accessed affected those who applied for legal aid in the last 15 years, and may include contact details and addresses of legal aid applicants, their dates of birth, national insurance numbers, criminal history, employment status and financial data such as contribution amounts, debts and payments.
The MoJ has urged anyone who applied for legal aid since 2010 to update any passwords that could have been exposed, and be alert to unknown messages and phone calls.
The organisation's digital services, which are used by legal aid providers to log their work and get paid, have been taken offline.
'We needed to take radical action'
Legal Aid Agency chief executive Jane Harbottle has apologised for the breach and acknowledged the news would be "shocking and upsetting".
"Since the discovery of the attack, my team has been working around the clock with the National Cyber Security Centre to bolster the security of our systems so we can safely continue the vital work of the agency," she said.
"However, it has become clear that, to safeguard the service and its users, we needed to take radical action. That is why we've taken the decision to take the online service down," she said.
Ms Harbottle said contingency plans are in place for those who need legal support and advice.
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) said it is working with the National Crime Agency and National Cyber Security Centre to investigate the data breach.
The National Crime Agency said it was aware of the incident and was working closely with the MoJ to "better understand the incident and support the department".
It comes after retailers Co-op, Harrods and Marks & Spencer were hit by cyber attacks, although there is no suggestion that they are connected to the incident at the LAA.

After reading this article, using Wave Endpoint Monitor would make more sense for organizations to use!!! Everyday it becomes more and more apparent that Wave should be the SMART CHOICE in cybersecurity rather than Microsoft, Crowdstike and others!!! Wave should no longer be viewed negatively as the company who could not turn a profit!!! A lot of business that came Microsoft’s way had to do with Microsoft’s financials being stronger than Wave’s and Microsoft ‘seen’ as the better security because of Microsoft’s ‘brand’ power!! Now Microsoft and its problems with Bitlocker, MFA, EntraID, and a whole host of security problems and now this is just showing that Wave has the better solutions!!!
