Q,

I would say this is true in general of penny stocks. I think we all agree that NEOM is not a typical penny stock, hence the high level of investing and interest in this company. But it is also why there has been so much dd on this company over the last 2 years. NEOM is for real. Their business model collapsed back in the 2000 (as did many other companies). They have reinvented themselves today.
You may ask, "can a company really reinvent themselves or are they just spinning a new sales pitch"? Remember the name Corning? They were known as a kitchen pot and pan company in the 60's and 70's. Then they found fiber optics and became one of the most successful companies in the 90's. They reinvented themselves. The dd of this board clearly demonstrates that NEOM has done the same.

QCurt,

I believe Cramer is correct on perhaps 99 out of 100 penney stocks. That being said, most of us believe that NEOM is not only the 1 out of 100 exception to that rule but 1 in a million that can go on to incredible glory. An example from the past that escaped penny stock hell and went on to glory would be Home Depot.

QCurt. Wow, what a broad brushed comment by Jim Cramer...thats if he did in fact day that. Sure you heard correctly? Sure youre not paraphrasing with massive artistic license?

Sounds like a HUGE generalisation when you consider the thousands of penny stocks out there.

Its just as general as saying all people called Adolf are mass murderers!!

QC - more often than not, that is the case, unfortunately.

Not in this case, though, imo.

you don't find out the answer 'till the end of the story. All you know for now is what you can see. This was a stock that traded for 2 cents a share one year ago. Also, with all the fanatastic and amazing news that has come out in the past few months millions and millions of shares have been SOLD in spite of the fact that this stock is headed to Nasdaq for $5 per share
It is my guess that this stock is NOT a scam and that is why I'm long and strong and accumulating, but my track record isn't the greatest
Good luck to us longs

Q Curt

As pjvdfm said, Cramer's statement is probably correct for 95% of all pennies, but there ARE exceptions. IMO the trick is to dig deeply and view everything with a jaundiced eye in hopes of finding a pearl among the pennies that you can believe in. Although a good debt/equity ratio and a decent revenue stream are nice, to me finding a management that is relatively honest and has similar goals for the company that you have is most important. I feel that NEOM is the right place to be at present. Although CF and co. are quite tight-fisted with their PR, it seems to me that they are working hard (and smart) to make Paperclick a reality. If I took Cramer's advice and never invested with pennies, I would never have bought TNOG, which I've "taken more off the table" from than I ever have with any other stock.
