Well, I have a few. I like the Gateway Park / Touchton Road area near St Johns mall (Fantastic mall btw)... Condominiums like the Montreux, Il Villagio, etc. This specific unit i'm buying is a 3 bedroom at the "Grand Reserve" which is off Hodges, between Butler and Beach.

I love the beach culture, being from Rio De Janeiro originally... Just being close to the salty sea air makes me a happier person. I must admit to being very disappointed to find so many sharks in the waters around Jacksonville beach... Kinda cool to watch people fish sharks out of the pier but swim there? Heh, not me, at least not at those points in the year. Good thing all these condos have nice swimming pools, jaccuzi's, some have sauna's, etc ;)...Although I do think the small movie theater (with popcorn machine) inside the central-building of the Montreux compound is a bit of overkill *chuckle*.

OT - Rato/Fernando: what do you guys know about Ponte Vedra Beach? My wife and I consider it to be on the short list for retirement along with the Raleigh area and Savannah, GA (we live in CT now). I think we are 2-5 years away at the moment and we would look to buy a house rather than a condo. Heard "The Plantation" is a nice gated community. Thoughts? TIA........Chuck
