Huh???? Are you saying that the street wouldn't care if NOK settled with IDCC, paid us $500+ M for past infringement, paid a 5% rate going forward, signed a 4G/LTE worldwide license?

Or that they wouldn't care if a Nukejohn win/win scenario came to be?

Overall, the street doesn't give a crap whether they settle with us, especially before the CAFC ruling.

miller, I agree. Any settlement with IDCC, whether before or after Nokia's big show, will be announced separately.

I don't want to cause a shit storm here, but I doubt if the settlement with IDCC and the ITC case is even on the new guy's front burner... others below his pay grade are dealing with it, albeit with certain guidelines; and if a deal is made they will bring it to him for approval.

Personally, I hope IDCC can announce solid or blowout 4Q earnings and a few more licensing deals before the CAFC decision... at least the company has some control over how they treat and announce their earnings and conduct their licensing efforts, while they have no control over what the CAFC will do or when they will do it.
