My nephew with this first big Chinook (King) 26lbs. Well the first that he finally got into the boat. The one before it was bigger but inexperience cost me my "magic" spoon that played 33 to near the boat and landed 24 of them up to 36lbs.

Here's me with the second halibut I ever caught, about 22lbs. The first was only about 8-10lbs but we were giggling like little kids when we got him into the boat.

Nice fish !!! last time I was fishing for halibut was in about 90-92 out of Homer. Man you brought back some memories !!
