Olddog, if a one time payment of a couple hundred million is not going to move this stock which is the view of many people on this board why would a 20m one time payment?

olddog -- the expense that is going to be recorded ($16.4 million) is roughly 34 cents a share. I expect the share price to be hit by about that much.

Olddog, re: Impact of Federal Insurance arbitration...

Did you notice that IDCC's SEC Form 8-K began "On May 16, the Arbitrator...", while IDCC's 8-K was not filed until late on May 18th? I wonder if the arbitration decision could have appeared on PACER or via other media sources prior to the 8-K filing and already have been (at least partially) reacted to by IDCC's institutional stockholders?

IDCC's sub-market performance on Thursday and Friday could have reflected such an institutional "heads-up". I guess we'll know more when the market opens today.

Do we know if a PACER entry was made in the IDCC vs. Federal Insurance lawsuit on the 16th or 17th?
