Keep in mind we also had an issue when we prepared the documents for MHRA. LP and others have to redo it again. It appears we don't learn from our mistakes.
Did anyone explain what they tried to achieve with these extra 2 feet on the system? They must have had some additional features they tried to incorporate. Anyone wonder what they were? Were these "extra" features discarded to save the space, or did they manage to include them in the redesign? If so, it looks like the first engineers were total incompetents.
