The fish oil used in the PISCES trial consisted of 1000-mg 40:20 ethyl ester capsules (providing a total of 4 grams of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids daily, with 1.6 g of EPA and 0.8 g of DHA).
The capsules were originally provided by a company called Ocean Nutrition.
