From the paper abstract referenced on slide 4.

Glial cells, including microglia and astrocytes, play an increasingly recognized role in both the promotion and prevention of neurodegeneration. Sigma receptors, particularly the sigma-1 receptor subtype, which are expressed in both neurons and glia of multiple regions within the central nervous system, are a unique class of intracellular proteins that can modulate many biological mechanisms associated with neurodegeneration.

I saw the slide 4 mention. We're talking specifically about the AD prevention trial planning. The slide 4 vague statement and link is not exactly that but clearly something they're comfortable with. The preclinical support cited by the company was for AD; hopefully there is preventive potential for other neuro-degenerative indications (eg PDD). This may also come in the future.

Missling is wise to be vague about using 2-73 for prevention until they have an FDA approved trial.

That is the sort of claim that class action lawyers would love to claim was a pump by the company to sell shares and had no validity.

Once there is an approved trial that liability is removed.
