Exactly! A competent BP would probably get the FDA to take action so Lovaza could not be used in the place of Vascepa. Vascepa is a wonder drug, but Thero cannot seem to gain traction with it. Once a BP owns Vascepa I bet the FDA will be more helpful and insurance companies will fall in line. I wish we had an attorney who could get two measures approved for a vote by shareholders:
1. Remove Thero as CEO. 2. Hire an IB to place AMRN up for sale.
A big part of the problem is that most doctors don't know what Vascepa is and a lot of the rest still think Lovaza and fish oil supplements serve the same purpose. This is partly due to a 40-year drumbeat of advertising heralding fish oil as the greatest cure-all, regardless of what studies show. And 90 percent of the population and a shocking percentage of doctors believe it. Until that changes, Vascepa will have an uphill struggle to get recognized.
