Drug, food and other manufacturers source their component chemicals from countries around the world, including some dicey factories in China and India. Those compounds may be mixed and put into pill format in an American factory, but they aren't really "made in America" if you think about it.

People have a tendency to buy named brands such as Bayer aspirin or St Joseph's.

Old habits die hard. I grew up with Bayer aspirin.

Same with Quaker Oats oatmeal.

I'm sure the list is endless of brands I grew up with that I still buy.
