Even though BP has "connections" I'm not sure how much of a "better result" they'd be able to get in the appeal trial if they were handling it instead of AMRN.
That's hardly the only consideration. Let's say AMRN appeals/controls things for another 2 or 3 years. How does the perpetual uncertainty help the stock price? Even after a win, the residual value of any exclusivity would be devalued accordingly - IF they won.
beachboat983, Thero was warned by Adam Feuerstein that he should sell to BP is a STAT article. JT is a dufus. The only way to salvage this is for JT to negotiate a BO. Over the last week around 324 million shares have traded which means that they are going into hands friendly to Goldman Sachs. If JT does not agree to a friendly deal soon, he will get a hostile offer that has over 90% backing. The Dufus will be absolutely blindsided ... again! This may be JT's last chance to get a deal done on reasonable terms.
