#1291 RE: anesthesia doc #1290

i do think there will be some direct to consumer campaigns - social media etc., and there could be some buzz about a better botox, but definitely getting to the derms to present the alternative to patients who otherwise come in asking for botox will be important

thanks for the insiders perspective. in my world there were 2 identical drugs so reps made a huge difference (today many insurances contract with companies for preferred rates, and merck hasn't exactly pushed fertiltiy now that cancer is such a focus). now daxi will be differentiated, and botox has brand awareness so patients may insist on that brand, so not quite the same but in large part i agree w your prior post and thanks for sharing the insider opinion

"patients are not going to know about it unless the doctors present it to them."

I think there is a tremendous demand for a longer acting botox. I work with a large group of high paid women & a lot of them get botox injections on a regular basis. I mentioned Daxi to one of them the other day & she immediately wanted to know when it would be on the market & what was the companies name so she could buy shares. She wasn't happy with how fast the Botox injections were wearing off. I think she's like most women/men & will be pushing their docs for DAXI if it ever gets on the market.
