Just amazing to me how this has Anavex written all over it.

Eisai's doubling down to find "new drugs targeting inflammation in the brain" which are "small molecule" using an approach of targeting the "right patient at the right time."

And the strategy, as you said? Precision Chemistry.

Anavex has been doing this with Hampel for years.

Today’s pitch is a Hoyt Wilhelm special, knuckleball … for those who have problems following the logic:

TGD has emphasized that Anavex wants to determine whether 2-73 works or not: quick failure preferred vs. lingering doubt about efficacy. As such, why would he allow the Aussies to begin a Rett 2-73 trial if he weren’t confident/didn’t know that the FIRST trial, US-based, provided positive results? [FYI – The first Aussie Rett participant has completed her 7-weeks of treatment … now the wait for the extension period decision to kick in.]

To put forth an additional thought: IMO, it would be unethical and almost criminal of Anavex and TGD to push the Aussie Rett trial if it were known that 2-73 did NOT help these suffering women ... and I don't believe TGD is unethical!

ANAVEX NOW … MONO-STYLE … RWEm for Life!!!

P.S. If these thoughts were presented before, my apologies.

P.P.S. At the age of 8, I saw Hoyt no-hit the Yankees on September 20, 1958 and Gus Triandos tied Yogi Berra for the most HR’s by an AL catcher with his 30th in a 1-0 game at old Memorial Stadium in Baltimore.

Still confused, but on a much higher level.

“Several monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) have been in development over the last decade. BAN2401 is a monoclonal antibody that selectively binds soluble amyloid ß (Aß) protofibrils.”

BAN2401 is a monoclonal antibody (mab - 100% failure rate in AZ), not a small molecule.
