It appears as though Hampel and Missling have a mutual goal and bond and background, but there’s always “keep you friends close, etc”.
I do think, however, that Hampel accepting a position at BP with a title as nebulous as “VP Global Medical Affairs” looks like a placeholder to me for acting as liaison to bring the whole game to the company with him (meaning Anavex). Seeing as how HH is aware that Anavex is so far ahead, why try the come from behind task when we need a partner?
Also, the Aricept connection. Eisai developed donepezil. And they still try to test if for further indications to re-up its patent.
Finally, if this were direct compete (steal our heavy lifting) Missling would know and would not let HH continue on the SAB and see the data from Aus to write further results papers, would he??
