Lion
I am currently taking PharmEPA. What would you say has been the biggest change that you have noticed since changing over to V? Also, in your opinion, do you think PharmEPA was a good choice for you for your physical condition at that time (I am assuming you were pretty healthy and just looking to be proactive in your health) prior to the diagnosis from your doctor? Thanks

Lion, Sabre,

I had been on Omacor/Lovaza for 15-20 years prophylactically. I got all Scripts for free as a pilot for Pfizer so it was cheaper than buying OTC crap. About 6 years ago I went for my FAA physical and I had developed Symptomatic Atrial Fibrillation. I had a successful ablation and have been flying since. Omacor/Lovasa carry a Black Box warning regarding AFib.

I have been on Vascepa now for 6 years off label.....No AFib Reoccurrence, triglycerides went from 90 to 55, LDL dropped and HDL went up and my omega 3/6 ratio would Put a Japanese fisherman to Shame.
I just got my first medical after turning 60, my eyesight has actually improved (20/20 now 20/18) and I still carry no restrictions whatsoever on my medical.

BTW, not looking forward to hanging up the wings (and don’t have to) for many years, I fly a Gulfstream 10 days a months to some of the coolest places in the World and stay at 5 Star Hotels on a fully scheduled basis. My Daughter flys for Delta so my Wife follows me as a Non-Rev.

As they say living the dream LOL

Lion757, thank you for the response. I spent 20 years in the Air Force working on large transport aircraft and have spent the last 17 working for SWA. Scary stuff with the second 737 Max going down. I’ve been invested in Amarin for many many years. I have believed in Vascepa long before JL explained the science behind it. I am hoping that it turns out to be the best selling drug of all time not only for personal financial reasons but more importantly because of its potential to better the lives of so many people.
