Greetings MD3434,
I guess the biggest physical difference of using Vascepa as opposed to OmegaVia EPA was after switching over I noticed that I never had an ache or pain. I run 5600 meters on a treadmill everyday that I'm home (approx. 20 days/mo) and every once in awhile I would strain my calf or hamstring (I never stretch...I know I know...) and would "suffer" for a day or two, but for the past year I have not experienced any of that. The only change is the V and Crestor. Switching over to V also reassured me that I was not putting impurities into my system on a daily basis. I'm also reasonably certain that my numbers would not be as good as they are without Vasepa. I've always had high cholesterol and did take a statin in my forties for about 2 years.(stopped after reading about cognitive and wasting issues). The best a statin could ever do for me was 246 to 216, and I was eating well (oatmeal in the morning and a nice dram of single malt in the evening) and running vigorously at the time. I know that people on this board over the years have used terms like super charged and synergistic when referring to the V+statin combo; apparently they are correct. And you are correct, I take V for prophylactic reasons and take the statin to keep my card happy.
