that's a very good question Homersbud, and I've been put through the ringer with restricted stock lists, that you only find out about when you try to place an order. I am happily at https://us.etrade.com/home they have no restrictive tickers, and if you trade a lot you can get Etrade pro for free with I think 30 trades a quarter. It has charts, news links and a bunch of other stuff. Never heard of anyone not liking the broker options at all. Straight up trades @ $6.95
Of course I-Hub isn't a broker, but they do offer level II and they put out a thirty day try out on it. Look up in the upper bar and click on "Level 2". #msg-21384915 Before or after you set up an account at Etrade don't take no for an answer and I don't think this is posted anywhere in writing but they will give you a thirty day free trial on a pay for trading platform to take it out for a ride and kick the tires. There are onsite videos there that walk you through all the operations to get you started, I remember watching a bunch a etrade pro vids a long time ago.
