According to Li, he bought into LQMT for its brand and IP.
Li didn't allow Apple to exclude LQMT from the field of consumer electronics. Steipp did that with the MTA. Li/Eontec is free to pursue "all those consumer electronics conglomerates in China, Japan, South Korea, etc." so long as they don't use CIP technology.
Possible, but unlikely. $20 million is chump change to Apple. They could well afford to do that, but we don't know how much money, if any, they have put forth in continuing the development of this technology. Also, if Apple devalued the technology so much that they don't want to use it in their products, why would they care if other companies use it?
No idea what you mean.
Forgive me for being obtuse, but I cannot discern from your questions the answer to my basic question, i.e., "So if we can't use CIP patents nor Eontec's IP in the field of consumer electronics, how do we work with a phone supplier other than Apple?" If you had an answer, perhaps you could re-express it in simpler terms for me.
Good one, i imagine Li is forming all those Joint Ventures and Supply chain so that it all can be restricted and given to Apple on a silver platter. Li must be an Apple sheep.
