I like this method when dealing with the con artists and punks like Mako that hide their identity while profiting from their crimes.

There is a real sense of style. Gotta like it.

"We can't ask SA to make sure that everything presented on their site is true. The alternative is to make blogs and message boards (like this one), where false information about people places and things both pro and con is printed every day, responsible for their content. "

We could hold the individuals themselves responsible for their own statements perhaps. Rosen didn't sue the OTC for statements made by Cellceutix they sued Cellceutix. What if we let company officers make whatever statements they wanted by concealing their identities from prosecution? I would bet we could cure cancer tomorrow. :-)

I'm glad to see Rosen is likely to be on the hook for Cellceutix's legal fees at least. I think it should be more myself.

I think the main issue with Seeking alpha is that they are headquartered in Israel. You can't just issue a subpoena from a US based law enforcement agency. SA claims editorial oversight over published articles. If SA were located in the US in its current setup, they would be held accountable for publishing false or misleading articles. Hit pieces like Mako's would not be published by SA if they were a US based company. Freedom of Speech in Israel is not the same thing as here in the US.
