You have a point. Damon has come along good his 1st year as a Yankee and I thought he would. He had a slighly slow start but has played very well and also has produced in some big spots also just like he did when he was in Boston. Jeter will always be put on a pedistool because he competes to win day in and day out, He runs out his hits if they are winning by 10 or losing by 10. But Damon has that same drive in him. These players that play and say well, We made it to the playoffs but just came up short make guys like Jeter and Damon mad because you don't play just to have a good season, you don't play just to make the playoffs. You play the game to try to win the world series. Players that settle for second best and are happy they atleast made the playoffs shouldn't be playing the game.
