Great post Flip!! The Slide 12 is so telling to the upside if NWBO is successful in gaining approval and then label extensions to other indications including no toxic side effects on thee patient!
It is very true that people should conduct their own due diligence. I filter everyone else's contributions through my own due diligence -- I hope everyone does the same. I doubt Les used the word cult, but AF did. Regardless, there is good reason this company is being watched so closely. There is a reason why top retired brass from the FBI and CIA are on the board. There is a reason Les talks about forces out to destroy this company. There is likely a very good reason for this intolerable silence. There is a reason why Dendreon was unjustifiably attacked without mercy by outside forces. There is a reason why AF bothered to show up here and also write multiple hit articles. There is a reason why SOS has written multiple updates on this trial. There is a reason why LP shared slide 12. http://www.nwbio.com/NWBT_corp_overview_(Biotech_Showcase_updated)_1-12-15.pdf
Existing therapies on the market aren't good enough. Most have really nasty side effects, and society needs a serious breakthrough beyond those involving b-cell (blood) cancer therapies.
Immunotherapy was almost entirely replaced well over half a century ago by chemotherapy. There is a lot riding on this phase III trial -- whether it fails or succeeds. A physician once told me society is still in the stone age when it comes to developing medicine. It was only last year that researchers noticed the lymph system extended into the central nervous system. Whoopsie.
As smart as all the scientists are around the world, cancer still kills people. The dendritic cell is a gift to science. Its lead role in the immune system was not discovered until the 1970's by a researcher that used it experimentally to prolong his own fight against cancer. Some of his students/peers still work at places like Amgen and other large pharmaceutical companies. They know how important this platform is for humanity. The dendritic cell has a chance to take society on a quantum leap in cancer therapy (and therapy for many other diseases).
LG did use this term when we were discussing together the support the stock sees from a wide range of shareholders. I do not think he used the term to speak badly about shareholders but more in the context of very loyal shareholders when the stock is attacked by shorters. You only have to read our message board to see just how confused everyone is with what is genuinely going on....that is not right.
You make a valid point with the silence re the big guns being brought in to shatter the "criminal ring of shorters" but with the stock down 90% and the investigation ongoing and the prelonged silence do you not think management has accidently dropped the ball in terms of convincing the market the science works and the prelonged silence has in turn destroyed investor confidence. If you don't defend yourself then you get picked apart. I can only guess management have listened and acted upon the advice of lawyers aimed at trying to bring about a successful prosecution and this advice was given with a much shorter timescale for completion. They have gone past the point of no return but as yet it's not resulted in any charges, arrests or formal public statements so I can only presume they do not have enough evidence. That being said I genuinely don't know why they cannot state at what point in the future they expect to gain approval ( subject to the science and FDA approval etc ) and when they anticipate being able to offer a commercialized product. If we are close to the trial being completed then why not provide some form of update as to future timelines and expectations. I still find people asking me the reasons for the screening halt and I cannot provide answers.
