I agree with this statement:

There is literally no downside to an exchange listing for legitimate shareholders in a company with legitimate prospects.

The issue most have debated is whether or not to r/s in order to uplist. I'm in the camp of not wanting an r/s.

Ok, back to other projects now... have a great weekend all! ;)

"Personally I just don't day trade or short stocks so I would like to see it for the added legitimacy it brings, not for the increased volatility or so I can use options to protect my short position."

I'm not a participant, but it's my understanding that options can be used to "protect" or hedge both long and short positions. In any event I'm quite sure that the case for not listing on an exchange because it might result in options trading can't be reasonably made. It's a market and it can result in gains or losses for people who expect the value of a company's shares to go up or down.
Don't be fooled. There is literally no downside to an exchange listing for legitimate shareholders in a company with legitimate prospects.

Provoking thought isn't such a horrible thing for a person to do after all, is it?

This should come with a "Your results may vary" disclaimer. :-) <blink> (smile)

"There is literally no downside to an exchange listing for legitimate shareholders in a company with legitimate prospects. "

Strangely, I muttered something very similar to myself when I placed that (thankfully small) order for (Alzheimers inc) at ~$13. Damb they were uplisting after all. It's gotta be good.
I felt differently when I sold at $6 and change.

I felt like a legitimate shareholder, does that company not have legitimate prospects? (Rhetorical)

$6 hurt but looks to have been better than having waited for the eminent recovery. It's $4 now.

I still want Ctix to uplist but unless I dump my shares on the uplist surge it will still come down to successful drugs proven by well designed trials more so than where the shares can be bought or sold doesn't it?
