I want to say they took a sample, but I'm not sure. I will check with my sister-in-law and see if I can find out. I do know he had follow ups every few months for 5 years until they gave him the all clear. So, it may have been determined just from observation thru scans.

Ok, here's what I found out. They monitored thru MRI scans biweekly for growth, shrinkage, or maintain. They also put him on fish oil, which helped shrink it. Took about 45 days for it to disappear. For those that don't know or have time to look it up, Medulloblastoma is similar to Glio, just not as aggressive and a little easier to treat. The chances of survival are just a little better as well.
