Geofusion: But how do they know if the "necrotic" tumor tissue is really dead? If it's gone... then you know. If there is still tissue there, how do you know it won't come back? Maybe no vascularization left?

They can't see that it is black in an MRI or X-Ray. There is probably some tell, however. But I wonder with what confidence? Wouldn't you rather the macrophages go eat it all? Like chopping Jason's head off after shooting him six times. They never do that!
