c m--2004 Entertainment PCs = Premium Content = WAVE.
The marketing survey is an absurdity as it neglects what you refer to as the "PULL" variables. And the ultimate "PULL" variable is Premium content.
Rephrase the PC survey from: "Which of the features proposed would you find useful?" TO "Which of the features proposed would you find useful IF IT ENABLED YOU TO ACCESS PREMIER, HIGH DEMAND ENTERTAINMENT CONTENT NEVER BEFORE RELEASED ON THE INTERNET? "
Do you think if rephrased, would it change the findings significantly in favor of Trusted Computing? Howard Golden would probably argue that such a rephrase would shift the balance even more negatively toward Trusted Computing. And he would argue the point with a straight face. Which is why his contribution to this board should be viewed more in terms of entertainment of an Absent-Minded Professor.
The key question is whether the Entertainment PCs coming out in volume by the major OEMs towards the end of this year can offer premium wireless home content WITHOUT TPMs bundled with Embassy software which would provide Attestation and Interoperability?
Is MS JANUS possible without TPMs bundled with Embassy?
If folks have any doubts about how WAVE intends to play this, one should review Unclevername's earlier post.
