Howard...

I agree. Everyone should read the survey data. It tends to underscore the message that MOST Wavoids keep saying: we are in the early phases of market uptake. Won't change the amount of TPMs being deployed by OEMs of all stripes. Does reflect the level of current knowledge and the rate at which TPM-enabled services will be adopted. Luckily, there are OTHER, very powerful drivers in the marketplace: HIPAA and GLB and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) just to name the more prominent ones.

(Similar polling data--perhaps not as detailed--has preceded HUGE technology-enabled changes. What's missing in this equation at present is that marvelous imponderable: THE PULL in this this, rather than the PUSH. If that PULL doesn't materialize, attracted because of some compelling advantage/app or REGULATORY MANDATE, we've got real problems.)

We are in the classic early adopter phase of the curve. (Of course, those with jaundiced eyes, tend to see it as the NO-ADOPTER phase.) There is VERY good money to be made in large banking and healthcare environments... and, of course, in GOVERNMENT. (I am always, though, less sanguine about government just because of the "sales cycles" measured in years not months.)

(While we're reviewing things. I think it might also pay to review the TONE of a few posts today. Have you noticed a curious phenomenon, Howard? Those taking glee in the--at minimum-- discomfort of others? Isn't that also as curious a phenomenon as our stubborn loyalties?)

Meanwhile, there is the Wavexpress side of the house. I cannot help but believe that the Yankees YES Vision model is being scrutinized by lots of other sports franchises. The YANKEE franchise is always a trend-setter and seen as THE setter of best practices in marketing, etc. (Incidentally, for those who persist in the belief that Wave is the gang that can't shoot straight, ya really oughta have a long look at YES Vision. It's pretty much a case of flawless execution... in a VERY HIGH-PROFILE project.)

Howard, this board is VERY bright. For the most part, these are folks who constitute the "bus of survivors." It is now to Wave to MAKE REAL and, hopefully, MAKE worthy just what it is that we have survived for.

Best Regards,

c m
