What's crazy is that there is not more emphasis on Magnesium in the medical profession, or even taking supplements. I hate to be a conspiracist, but big Pharma would much rather you take a statin for cholesterol, anti depressants for D3 deficiency and a dermatologist/cardiologist for K2 issues. I've mentioned Magnesium to both my cardio and internal medicine docs, but they both literally just blow me off. I think part of it might be that magnesium is just very difficult to manage with patients, unless that patient is knowledgable enough and driven enough to work through any issues, which are very temporary, they would just be fielding a ton of questions and complaints. But the benefits are so worth all of the efforts. There's a book called the Magnesium Miracle. It's written by the same physician that developed the ReMag Ionic Magnesium. I bought the book and was absolutely floored about how magnesium works and the benefits. Granted the doc does sell magnesium, however she was extremely balanced and gave several other options to the liquid form she sells, but also pointing out the deficiencies of tablet form, which I agree with.
I'm an Apo E 3/4, I also think this may be related to my elevated A1C also. About 8 months ago I started K2 also, the only difference i noticed were these red dots on my arm when I was out in the sun, this summer they were almost non existent. Someone mentioned K2 enables D3, makes sense. It's amazing the results nutrition, exercise and a balanced lifestyle make. Good luck Ramfan!
