I only spoke 1 language when all the others spoke at least three.

I recall a documentary about a software programmer, that had his job outsourced to India. He apparently was quite fluent in the latest software tools (or so thought). So he decided he'd go to India, and see if he could get the equivalent of his old job back. He went into an Indian placement center...

The first thing they told him, was that they had no openings for a software programmer.

Then they told him, they did have a couple of openings as a help desk specialist. However, before being considered for a help desk job, he would be required to take a test... a test of how well he spoke English!

Soon after taking the English test, and presumably passing, he decided to give up his job quest in India. No, don't have any idea if he ever learned how to speak Hindu.
