Lets talk chemo brain for a moment.
Supposedly my Dad was the longest living chemo survivor on Erbitux in the USA. He was on it for over 10 years. He was given it for coloncancer. After practically every chemo treatment in the end he would be hospitalized for sepsis and then miraculously survive without he oncologist ready to put him back on the Erbitux. The end came for him not to die from his cancer metastasizing but from being withheld all food and liquids in a mental ward of a local hospital since his oncologist gave up on him due to the fact that he could no longer be given chemo since he went insane. I noticed that for a couple of years he became more and more paranoid, sometimes calling the police on me until social services began an investigation on me supposedly abusing my Dad by yelling at him. He was hard of hearing but became super paranoid and violent. I had to put him in the mental ward in the end when I received a call from our local police that my Dad had my mother had knife point in their home. They were together fro 65 years.
The doctors there did not know what to do with him, my Dad upon a liquid moment wanted to die, so I gave the ok to withhold food and drink and put him on Morphine until the end came. Two weeks letter he was gone. Later I met with his oncologist to give him crap and he told me my Dad had Chemobrain, he said the longer one was on chemo the likelihood of getting it was greater and since my Dad was on it for 10 years, his brain basically dried up and shrank........thus killing him as opposed to the spreading cancer.
I asked him why nobody ever mentioned this life threatening side effect, he said that typical nobody is on chemo for long time periods and he thought I was told about the side effects. Nobody ever brought it up, and I met with many oncologists over the years. Mutha fuchas!. I hate all Chemo and Oncologists with a passion, another reason why I am here, hoping, praying and staying long.
