Bought some BAC 11$ calls at .57 closed at .60 hopefully this is BAC's bounce we'll see ;P
Cool. Yeah PCX is a great trader for sure. Made 20% on some UNG calls last week. Sitting cash right now looking for next kill.
On the other idea I don't see how you could not come out ahead on it just get a consult with an attorney so you do it correctly financially and call me if ya need some advice on it. I'm glad I did :)))
Yeah did good on those UNG calls I'm out now sitting cash like a vampire looking for my next victim muwhahahahaha LOL
I agree tks :)
I made a goodun Buba :) I bought the 5$ calls at .59 earlier today and just sold em for .73 I probobly will kick myself later as it runs higher but 20% profit is 20% profit ;) I'm done straddling by the way...I made money on that MGM straddle a while ago but have had horrible results since. Calls or puts no straddles for me anymore. GL :)
I agree I was gonna buy PUTS at 16$ but was too chicken of the bull wave that's been going on. NOw that the bull has been gored I agree I will just play the bounce.
Yeah I"m out...I'll definitely look at shorting it after the Forward split LOL.
Cool tks.
Ok tks. Just strange as every 3 mins from 1:15pm till now 100 shares sells and there is not much volume on this stock otherwise.
Pre-programmed small trades on TIBB? I have some stock in TIBB and have noticed that every few minutes a 100 share trade goes thru like clockwork. 100 shares at .34 is only 34$ They have been involved in some mergers with other banks could this be a company slowly buying their stock etc or what are the possible explainations for this? Thanks in advance :)
I agree, almost sold them at when MGM peaked at 13.70 or so today but it is in a really nice uptrend and I have a week or so more till expiration so I think I will hold :)
Ty. I have some profitable calls on MGM anyone think it continues on above 14$ or does it pullback like LVS?
Ok tks :)
Are markets closed tommorrow for veterans day?
Have MGM Nov 13$ straddle on calls/puts :)
That is a ton of help tks. Man...I goofed up yesterday. I had PCX 16$ puts at .64 they went to .74 and then early yesterday it looked like this bull market was going to keep charging upward so I sold for .70 and made a tiny profit. If I had been patient I could've sold them for 1.28 a piece right now argh...I hate losing any $$$ on a play but I think next time I will be more patient and lose 10% before I break even or make a tiny profit.
Tks for the answer :) So it is the last friday of the month that options expire on?
I have a dumb ? Do the Nov options expire next week or the week of thanksgiving? It's the third friday of each month correct? Thanks in advance
They were just arguing regulating cocaine vs sugary sodas on CNBC. C'mon you can't get a stripper to go home with you for a Dr Pepper :P J/K
Looks good I joined ya :) GL
LMFAO!!! They will have some phony press release soon to make it have a dead cat bounce that will bring even more suckers into it....(Thank God I only lost 5k before I figured out they are all scams LOL)
I think so but wasn't sure. Does this commonly come out well for you "trading pro's" or does the decay eat your profit etc much?
Just in case there are other noobs like me that lurk and are interested here is what happened :) This was done on MGM 13$ Nov calls and puts
I bought calls at .22 yesterday and sold them today at .29 for a really nice profit. I bought my PUTS at .97 and sold them at 1.01 (not alot of profit but not a loss either). I could've done alot better but did my trading by blackberry while at a union meeting LOL. The best part was that I wasn't WORRIED because I had both ends covered. As much as MGM moves it was gonna go one way or the other quite a bit and it went both ways and sold at decent points both times. If I would'nt have been in that meeting it could've been even better. But I am a big fan of straddling Puts and Calls now :))) (still learning)
Buying PUTS and CALLS at the same time had a good outcome for me. I had asked some savvy traders here a while back about it and got a good answer (mainly it depended on the stock etc) but just in case there are other noobs like me that lurk and are interested here is what happened :) This was done on MGM 13$ Nov calls and puts

Bubba it worked perfectly! I'm sold on the straddle of calls/puts. I bought calls at .22 yesterday and sold them today at .29 for a really nice profit. Straddled with the MGM 13$ calls when it dipped hopefully it was a good move :)
In MGM 13$ Puts now, considering straddling with MGM 13$ calls if momo up continues.
Sometimes CNBC says some funny crap "So why are you buying Caterpillar is it because they are using them to frontload money into the US government" or something like that. Sad but true...BTW speaking of being screwed Alex Sink just conceeded the governors race in Florida.
You guys think we might have a selloff today?
OUT of my UNG PUTS for a profit yay for the noob :)) Wondering if the market will selloff on Wednesday on election news...GO VOTE :)
Hey I finally got a winner LOL. Out of my UNG 6$ PUTS with a profit. Sitting cash till Wednesday and seeing what happens post election GO VOTE :)))
Did you finally come out of the bomb shelter? It's not 2012 yet LOL. I made good bank bought 6$ puts on UNG at 5.82 a share sold them when UNG at 5.63 a share :))
Sold both at a Loss I suck :))) I did buy some UNG PUTS at 6$ NOV 2010 we'll see have a Happy Halloween (doing better than when in OTC's though ;)
Bought some UNG 6$ PUTS NOV 2010 have a Happy Halloween :)
Bought some 6$ UNG PUTS :) we'll see have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN :)
Gave up pinks for options best decision ever made :)
Cool tks. Watching and waiting right now in cash.
If it doesn't move butchered on premium got it.
In Most cases if it has a huge move will you usually make money if you spend 1000$ evenly on puts and 1000$ on calls or is it more of a wash (just generalizations I have not done this yet was just considering trying it). Thanks for the reply btw :)
I was looking at CSTR and wondering about buying calls and puts before earnings reports or events. The 60$ calls on CSTR were up 700% the 50$ puts are down 83%. My question is "If I bought 1000$ worth of calls and 1000$ worth of puts ahead of earnings on a stock (not neccessarily CSTR)and CSTR has that 20% jump in PPS would my calls pay more than I lost on my puts"? I'm probobly phrasing this question horribly, but I guess I am asking can you make money buying the calls and puts on a stock ahead of earnings or do u just break even and how often?
Thanks in advance :)
Good Morning SSS thanks for the alert on HAL yesterday on news. I am way to slow to play it but watching the options I learned alot watching the action from the news etc on how quickly a stock can move on news and %'s that could be made on options.

Thanks a bunch looking for opinions. I really like trading options and am very slowly getting better :) I learn alot lurking here.
I agree and got some .43's today ;P
