Good Morning SSS thanks for the alert on HAL yesterday on news. I am way to slow to play it but watching the options I learned alot watching the action from the news etc on how quickly a stock can move on news and %'s that could be made on options.
I was looking at CSTR that you folks were talking about and wondering about buying calls and puts before earnings reports or events. The 60$ calls on CSTR were up 700% the 50$ puts are down 83%. My question is "If I bought 1000$ worth of calls and 1000$ worth of puts ahead of earnings on a stock (not neccessarily CSTR)and CSTR has that 20% jump in PPS would my calls pay more than I lost on my puts"? I'm probobly phrasing this question horribly, but I guess I am asking can you make money buying the calls and puts on a stock ahead of earnings or do u just break even and how often?
Thanks a bunch looking for opinions. I really like trading options and am very slowly getting better :) I learn alot lurking here.
I'm not paying for a subscription to IHUB anymore due to the SEC charges
