Why do we keep going through this question with tattle? There are two kinds of people, those who rent and those who buy. I do not rent, I buy. I am too busy to be going to my Walgreens, first to pick it up and then, to drop it off. The margin the retailer will make is lots higher for the purchase and will probably rule the day. I think it's only a matter of time until the purchase prices come down and the rental market will be a small niche.
It's not confusing to me... a DVD consumer. I do not "rent" movies. Used to, but it's too inconvenient now. I buy them, lots of them, and my five children, inlaws, extended family "borrow" them as they please. I like owning them for future watching. I collect small Indie titles as well as major releases. I am the consumate target market for Protocall and being able to get exactly what I want with minimal effort is a huge plus.
That was me. I just keep accumulating! I watched another cleaning supply company grow out of Grand Rapids as I grew up. You may have heard of them... Amway? This one could be much bigger.
Seems to take about 8-10 minutes to burn the thing.
I don't think of BlockBuster when I think to "purchase" a DVD. They rent movies. But I believe the vast potential for PCLI technology is the consumer who hears of a title, say, "Requiem for a Dream," and is unable to find it at his local store. Since I watch a lot of smaller, independent films, I get shut down a lot when DVD shopping at Best Buy or Target. However, if I could go online, chose the titles and pick them up at the WalGreens three blocks from me... that's a tremendous service for me.
I own over 1500 DVD titles and don't believe I'm all that uncommon anymore. At $9.95- $16.95, and be assured of getting exactly what I want... I'm a customer for PCLI kiosks.
New to the stock but love the potential. In at .06 and long.
Is that the truth, Josey? Heck, it seems like every penny I own has whiney little neer do wells hounding the T/A's but haven't had one quit over it yet.
It doesn't surprise me the churning lately. Folks only wait so long on these pinkies and the company is incommunicado of late. Those same folks have plenty of time to re-enter when the run gets going and could be making money on something else in the meantime.
It's depressing to have a company that moves at this speed. Rome was built in a shorter time frame! I've seen much bigger deals happen in a fraction of the time this one's taken.
We are getting the same blast furnace over here in Phoenix. It's like walking into a giant blow dryer. Any tips on "global warming" stocks?
I don't post much and please take what I say with a grain of salt. I have been here for a while and hold a medium position, 500,000 shares, accumulated over 6 or 7 months. I still have faith Stuart will execute the business plan. He has taken his lumps for early exuberance, culminating in the tragic conference call a while back. But the man still feels honest to me, appears to have leveraged some lucrative relationships and we sit very close to finally discovering what's in store for our little company. I will begin taking profit over .15 but stick around for the long term fireworks in 2008. GLTA.
I just keep collecting Tara Gold on every dip. It's my poor man's MSFT! I love the direction they're going. It's just going to be slow and steady.
Can he lead this company from jail? These charges aren't exactly jay walking. Exagerating a PR is one thing, blatently fabricating a PR once you've been warned to stop is just plain criminal.
I just took my $1.65/share profit and am out. Now watch the thing go to $6.00 .... or 60 cents!!!
These pinkies require a lot more patience but isn't that why we all take the risk? I still believe the guy and think he will execute his business plan. The minute I lose this faith, I'll be gone. Thanks for the update, Joesy. GLTUA
Yeah.... He wasn't keen on putting the money back in my account.
In America, it's incumbent on the people to remember that a citizen is innocent until proven guilty... even if the citizen is a lying, cheating scumbag who stole our money and wears a sh#t eating grin that makes you want to slap him upside the face.
TTGL- Possible gapper in the AM.
You go, BahBah Bobwins! I took your advice in the 30's and it's now my largest position, too.
Can't be a bad day when you start it out with the "Beastie Boys!"
What's amazing to me...
Is how Jim Plant could make his family and investors suffer all this turmoil for a couple million bucks. Heck, he could have made a lot more just building the darn company to its potential. How freaking lazy a crook do you have to be to not see these consequences?
You are lucky. I'm a Notary in a state that caps your fee at $2 per document. I do most for Starbucks and stock tips
How big a scumbag do you have to be to worse than ... Petar Vuccivich
Another Heaven joke...
A man and a wife had experienced an extremely acrimonious divorce. Bad will was the norm until a horrible boating accident took his life and he was in front of the Pearly Gates speaking with St. Peter.
"Before you get into Heaven," Peter explained, "You have to spell a word correctly for me."
Oh my God, thought the man. "I was always so terrible at spelling in school." But the alternative was Hell so he told the Saint to have at it.
"Please spell the word R-I-V-E-R for me," said Peter.
The man smiled and ripped off the correct spelling in two shakes and entered Heaven.
Weeks later, the man was taking his daily stroll around Heaven and happened upon the Gates. Peter motioned to him to come closer.
"I need to take a piss," Peter explained, "and I need you to man the gate for a few minutes."
"I can't do your job, Your Angelness," he implored.
"Sure you can, my son. Just ask them to spell a word correctly and let them in."
Well, as circumstance would have it, the man's ex-wife was, at that very moment, involved in a fatal car wreck and now found herself facing the man she hated so much.
"What the Hell are you doing here," she spat out!
"Oh, I'm watching the Gate for Saint Peter for a few minutes."
"Well, let me in right now," she went on.
"I will, but there's just this one simple requirement. You have to spell a word correctly to get through the Gates."
"That's insane," she protested. "What's the damn word?"
"C-Z-E-C-H-O-S-L-O-V-A-K-I-A."
I heard a variation on that theme...
Three couples were involved in a tragic tour bus accident and were waiting at the gates of Heaven for Saint Peter to allow them entrance. The first couple stepped forward and were met by a tirade by Peter.
"You folks love only money. You worship it. You even named one of your children Penny after it. Go, be gone."
The next couple, sheepishly, approached Peter.
"Oh, you folks are a real piece of work! You love only liquor and spirits. So much so, you named your first child Brandy. Get out of my sight."
The man in the third set of couples looks over at his wife and says, "Come on, Fanny, we're not going to do very good here today."
From my DD, their flash drives are really "just" competitive, if not on the high side. The Bio-Lock is a true winner. But I got in this thing for the "portal" opportunity. I really think that's what can be grown into solid revenue streams and that's what excited me... still does. But Jimbo needs to get his act together and start looking like a guy who knows what he's doing.
I sure hope so, Dog, and I may reconsider. This one was a real let down for me. At least in the case of SLJB, I smelled the scam and escaped with something. This bit of incompetence came out of nowhere and I just don't see Jim really trying to reassure the troops in any concrete way. We'll see and GLTUA.
I've been a big Jim Plant supporter and always gotten a pretty good hit off his communications with me. But I'll be looking for an exit point as soon as this turns. There was simply too much potential, too many good products, for him to allow this company to get to this point. I don't care what shorters did, MM manipulation, complaints by evil doers. This situation could have been avoided with better management. Now we've lost all the momentum and it will be a long, tortuous road back.
Added some NWWM just to cover my options. Excitement building, folks. We'll all know by Tuesday. GLTUA.
I keep accumulating this one. It's my Tara Gold of the pharma penny sector. I've just heard way too many horror stories from women getting bad readings on PAPs. If this is the real "new" deal, it is going to be very big.
That's funny. I listened to it just last night on the treadmill. LOL
You may be right!!! How about this, Allman Brothers.... Greatest Southern "Jam" Band? GLTUA
What I like about Stewart is his drive to build the company the "right" way. He is extremely enthusiastic, open to feedback and wonderfully accessible. He knows he has an ace in the hole with the short position but it is not his focus whatsoever and he's taking the steps necessary to eliminate this problem to our benefit.... by creating a profitable corporation!
It seems we've already received a lot of info concerning "dcbass" trip. The company is real, the people are real and answered questions, they are expanding, they are shipping products, they are confident they will prevail through this inquiry. Hey, this is encouraging. The only thing that can kink this deal is if JP made up the big government deal. Every person on this board has their opinion on this exact point. I don't think he made it up and if he didn't, this is going to be an extremely meaty story for stock investing in 2007, eh?
Pretty decent example, too. Would do wonders to see something like that.
Serf, appreciate your thoughts here but most here already have a position and don't enjoy the luxury of "deciding" when to buy or not buy. You have done a fair amount of posting for someone who doesn't have an interest. Not calling you out as I have looked at your site and enjoyed it. Just making an observation.
Actually Serf, if Jim Boy delivers on some of my suggestions, I'll keep holding. The things I liked about the company when I bought it are still there. We just need to see some real leadership in St. George and I remain cautiously optimistic we may see it.
I don't think there's such a thing as coming out of a suspension "unscathed." That said, the jury is still out on what led to the suspension, could it have been avoided and what's Jim going to do to get this thing back on track. For my money, I think the management team has taken a rather cavalier attitude about many things including showing proof of share structure through the T/A, disclosing their third party vendor and lack of alacrity in producing financials. If we had concrete evidence of these few things, we wouldn't be worrying about attacks from short sellers. Now the SEC is involved, for whatever nefarious reasons, and this further sets back our forward progress. Instead of being indignant and playing the victim in this mess, Jim needs to come out swinging with all the means available to him.... starting with some clear answers.
Hay, clearing things up with the SEC is totally in Jimbo's hands now. He appears confident he can do this if we are to believe Slorkes interpretation from dcbass. For my two cents, I don't believe the future of CyberKey lies in selling thumb drives to the military. It was a nice debut but the real revenue must come from the DRM applications for gaming, finance, automotive, health, sports and music. This is where the money is.
Where are you going with this? If Jim Babe has the ammo, this is a pretty good time to let er' rip!
